Or we need to figure out how we can produce geothermal really cheaply. I don't understand why it's expensive.

Let me explain to you why geothermal is expensive. The drilling takes time it is just like drilling an oil well it takes a lot of time it is also more difficult to drill a geothermal well done to drill a oil well. Geothermal wells you are drilling into hot formations and high pressure so you cannot drill very fast but once you drill the well you get free energy.
