They had no chance under the central government system but since 2013 we started implementing the devolved gov..milder form of Nigeria federalism..and those towns now boast of tarmac, hospital and some infrastructure.Just look for new pictures of Wajir,Mandera,Lodwar,Garissa,Marsabit and Isiolo.Youll see transformation the last few years. They each get around 100m dollars as county allocation and further 20m as equilazation funding to correct historical marginization per year.They can probably collect 10m dollars
if they try as own internal revenues.The equilazation funding will be for 20yrs at which point they should have caught up with the rest of the country.

Kenya transacted around 20B dollars in 3rd Q of 2018 alone. Kenya mobile transactions (p2p & mobile commerce) I think matched GDP from 2nd Q of this year when it hit 19B dollars.

The great think about 15B out 20B is mobile commerce - not person to person - but people using mobile money to pay for stuff.

Our mobile money sector is doing great
We need to work in our manufacturing sector it is a joke
We need industrial parks like Ethiopia but again Kenya labour costs are expensive i don't know if industrial parks will work in Kenya
