Grammy Is arguably the most prestigious music awards ceremony in the world, so why have some of rap and hip-hops most iconic names, including Tupac, Nas and Snoop Dogg, never taken home a Grammy Award?

So without any further delay let's dive in...

1 Christopher Wallace A.K.A Notorious BIG

Although Biggie's career was cut far too short, he released hit after hit after hit and earned four Grammy nominations, but never got that recognition in the form of a shiny Gramophone. Surely a contender for the 'special recognition' gong?

2. 2pac Amaru Shakur

Nominated seven times, legendary rapper Tupac was up for two awards in 1996 but never took home the gong.

3 Trevor George Smith Jr. A.K.A Busta Rhymes

Busta Rhymes missed out on taking home a Grammy award to Will Smith two years in a row! That’s gotta hurt.

4 Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. A.K.A. Snoop Dogg

He has received an amazing 16 nominations and yet has never taken home the top prize - but Snoop Dogg can be proud of earnings a nomination in the unlikely 'Best Reggae Album' category for his 2013 release 'Reincarnated'. Still, he can’t be too disappointed, he has lost out to some of the best, including Dr Dre, Beyoncé and Kanye West.

He holds the record for the most nomination without a win in the rap category...this one weak Me oh..

If awards for 'most talked about performance' were being handed out, Nicki no doubt would have at least six (to match the amount of actual nominations she’s had over the past couple of years). As if you needed reminding, that self-exorcism at the 2012 awards ceremondt was and will probably be one of the most ‘out there’ in the awards’ history.

7 Jayceon Terrell Taylor, A.K.A The Game.

9 J. Cole

J. Cole might be pretty new to the scene but that hasn't stopped him scooping a stack of other awards in that short time. With the release of his highly regarded '2014 Forest Hills Drive' album, it must be his turn soon, surely?

But if it were up to me this guy would win the Grammy b4 drake even dream of winning it...
