So because I am not buying, I can't point out the Op's error to him ....

If OP at this stage of advertising his phone doesn't disclose that there is an ink stain on the screen and that it is likely to spread, will he do so when someone who after seeing the phone is not even sharp enough to notice the ink and know its consequences, comes to pay for the phone?

And people like you will be complaining about how APC is ruining this country when you guys, even in your small private businesses, are much worse... sad

The way you guys are shamelessly running to the Op's defence is very appalling....I am even ashamed to be reckoned with as a Nigerian with the likes of you...

Imagine what will be going through a foreigner's mind about Nigerians if he stumbles on this thread....

You guys are very despicable.....honestly
I grab ur point and most of the people supporting the opportunity are probably his friends but truth is anyone who sees ink and is able to afford a phone like this should know that ink spreads... S/O to the @OP for trying to deny this initially, to me the only fault the @OP had initially was not stating it clearly that there was an ink stain cos I didn't c it initially and when u corrected him he didn't act maturely

There is something you are not getting, see the issue of minding one's business in life helps alot. Forget about the person buying, the person will contact op on whatsapp, ask for more pics etc. So, the issue of non disclosure of some errors isn't a big deal as that will later be settled via whatsapp by the prospective buyer.
You seems not to like to mind your business and trust me, this is how you will be behaving offline.
Bro, I want you to add just this trait of minding your business to your character this year.
Now to my story, several years ago, when I entered mushin, there's this printer guy, a customer was referred to him. When the customer came, i was there. So, they finished discussing about the work the man wanted to do, it's now time for graphic design of the job. While they were doing the design, it's awkward and not sharp. I put mouth and was telling the designer to do it this way and that way, the man was feeling me and love my suggestion. The printer was feeling angry but i didn't notice. Anyway, i left to my own side.
Later at night, while I was going home, 2 hefty guys and that printer just double crossed me. I was like wetin happened? A very big slap just landed on my face. Na there i know say, something dey happen make i use my brain. The printer now told me that shebi me Sabi talk, say I go go talk the remaining one for heaven, sharply they all flashed me dangerous weapons hidden in their bodies. I come asked the printer wetin i do cause that talk wey I talked in the afternoon, i didn't see any harm in it. He now told me that my nonsense talk discouraged the man and the man left with the belief that his works were wacks and that he is a big customer. Chai, i prostrated sharply and started begging. He told me it's too late that did i know that he lost a good amount he had already budgetted from that man's work. Profits he already budgetted to sort some bills. Chai, i felt for him and started pleading that i was only trying to make him better his work, that's why i intervened.
His other guys said some slangs were i later got to know that it's cultist slang and was that they should drop me down. Told the printer I have 5k on me, can give him to make up for his profit. After some thoughts, he collected it and warned me never to try such again.
You know what? Got to office next day and told one of my friends, told me that i should thank my star and be careful that the guy is a dreaded cultist and he can kill and nothing go happen. Police fit catch am, dem go still release am later. Person wey done die done die. Aside, so many killings where the investigation go dey inconclusive.
What am I saying? If i was killed that night, people will never know what happened. It's then and afterwards i realized most killings are as a result of people not minding their business.
It's another man hustle. Respect it. You aren't buying, Waka pass. One love brother. Just had to share you my experience.

I see nothing wrong in you calling out the o.p in regards to the ink on the phone screen, in fact u did well as it would help potential buyers when it comes to negotiation. But the way and manner u went extreme talking about the ink spreading and all that shows a level of hate towards the o.p and his phone grin
I.e there is a way to table or express your thoughts in a situation! The spreading ink is uncalled for sir/ma'am.

My thoughts!! cheesy

Op and the bandwagon of fraudulent phone dealers supporting him.
Always state the true condition of the product you're selling. PERIOD!
Let's forget all this "buyer would chat the seller on whatsapp and seller would send him pictures" I have bought phones several times from honest dealers in Lagos without inspecting the phone am buying and I was satisfied with my purchase at the end.
And the guy who is giving us a lengthy cock and bull story to support the OP. Not everyone is scared of those bull-shits you mentioned up there.
Finnally, as far as it is ink, it will spread! Period!

I use a Samsung Note 5 dual SIM Sir....And the only reason I have not upgraded is because I hate the new on screen buttons and lack of a physical home button that new Samsung devices have ...and I have never used a phone which isn't Samsung for the past 6 years..

Your phone has an ink stain within the cracked area....

There is a very high possibility that that stain will spread across the screen

Samsung phones don't ship from the factory with ink stains....so Samsung can't guarantee that those ink stains won't spread.....Even if i have not been unfortunate enough to have my phone go cracked or inkstained on me, I have friends who have....and when there is a stain just like yours, it spreads....

So unless you can tell us what that black blotch around the cracked area of your screen is, stop being condescending and own up....There is an ink stain on that screen.....Capish

I sell stuff too on this nairaland.....and I disclose every single defect on the item if any.....person wey go buy go still buy am....

Btw...these are screen shots from my own phone...please look at the 1st one and show me where there is any black blotch like the one on your phone....

Very good observation....I had to strain my eyes to actually see what u referenced.

haha what a thread. One man riot you are. The op and his defenders are known for selling cracked and ink scrabs. How on earth won't an ink spread. They're scared of running out of business grin . So they defend op with all they can so. They aren't affected

I bought an s7 edge with little ink on it,it didn’t spread and I used it for a while, no defects at all
Sellfish:

Now you have admitted there is an ink stain grin

Why didn't you say so in your initial post?

And for your information, You are not Samsung....only Samsung can give us a guarantee that an ink stain on screen won't spread....

It's too early in the year to be dubious
Re: Samsung phones with ink discussion thread (lol) by AnthonyAgofure: 8:43pm On Feb 15
I am a samsung user and I will like to explain what the guy that posted the ad said. I bought my first s9 second hand and although the seller made a fake description, on getting the phone the screen crack was soo very deep. But that same phone, I used it for 1 year no other issues happened although there were no inks from the beginning. My present samsung s10 plus I bought it with inks on it. I saw it before I bought it though. Can you believe now that I still used the phone and the ink didn't spread? Here is the reason. Former phones uses lcd this is liquid crystal display while oled as the name implies includes different led that light up the screen. OLED displays consist of self-lit pixels, while LCD displays use a backlight shining through liquid crystals to create an image. Contrast Ratio and Black Levels: OLED displays achieve superior contrast ratios and true blacks, while LCDs always emit some light, even when displaying black. This is the reason why when lcd display captures ink it will likely flow through because it is just like they are one. Oled on the other hand are just like torch that have different little bulbs. We might have experienced that some of our torch some light might go off but the rest remains that is what oled means it contains millions of little light that switch on and off so the ink on an oled screen won't flow because those places showing black are just dead and nothing else. Here are the pics of my two phones below the first is my s9 and the second is my presents10 plus
