Currently over 15%, it has been kinda consistent over the years to be honest.
How are we sure 15% will be distributed. I know they have minimum bench mark. I will try them out with little funds

Well true. I will suggest you talk to them though to be on the safe side. Or some people here might have used them.

The last time i spoke to their rep in September 2018, i was informed that 9% daily is guaranteed while at the end of the quarter/annually they share additional dividend which is not fixed rate

Exactly. Vgif is the only mf with a guaranteed return benchmarked to SDF rate which is currently 9% and the opportunity to earn 35% of the excess return on the minimum.

Unlike other funds the fund manager(investment one) takes his administrative charge after paying the guaranteed minimum return.

Just a quick question,

Is it right to speed ones investment. I'm presently have some investment with AXAmansard's and SFS capital, all mutual funds And I'm considering opening another Account with a different company

It would be better if you spread across different classes of investments. i.e. mutual funds, treasury bills, commercial papers, stocks etc

Check for your current NAV, input it in the redemption amount (inclusive of kobo)

The little i know.... One pro of Mutual funds is that you can liquidate anytime with no charges. Treasury bill if you want to liquidate before the expiration of your tenor you will be charged some percentage. A pro of treasury bills. your interest is paid upfront, so incase you want to invest the interest in something else...For mutual funds its calculated daily. i dont think the overall annual interest is much different between these two. so u may need to base your choice on whether or not for some reason u might have need for the money before the end of your tenure.

I came across this quote while reading a book yesterday... Why 'A' Students Work For "C" Students - Robert Kiyosaki

Bogle points out that in mutual funds, you, as the investor, put up 100% of the money and take 100% of the risk. The mutual fund company puts up no money, takes no risk, and yet keeps 80% of the returns. The investor gets back 20% of the gains, if there are gains.

Warren Buffett Agrees
Warren Buffett is regarded as one of the greatest investors of our time. He is a capitalist. He is an entrepreneur. He is not a managerial capitalist. This is what Warren Buffett has to say about these corporate money managers, managerial capitalists, most of whom are "A" students from great schools.

He says:
"Full-time professionals in other fields, let’s say dentists, bring a lot to the layman. But in the aggregate, people get nothing for their money from professional money managers."

If this is true, it might be stated another way: Those who choose not to become financially educated or play an active role in their investments and, instead, turn their money over to professional money managers, are abdicating responsibility for their financial future.

Any comment on this?
