UPDATE ON THE PROCESSING OF PTDF OVERSEAS AND LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME FOR THE 2019/20 ACADEMIC SESSION

The application window for the PTDF Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS) closed November 16th, 2018 while the Overseas Scholarship Scheme(OSS)window closed December 31st, 2018. Each window was open for a period of 6 weeks.

The Fund received applications for each of its programs as follows:

(i)    MSC Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS)        – 15,822

(ii)    PHD Overseas Scholarship Scheme (OSS)          – 3,501

(iii)    MSC Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS)                – 3,393

(iv)    PHD Local Scholarship Scheme (LSS)                – 1, 017

(v) Under Graduate (LSS)                                                  – 3,741

 NEXT STEPS

The next step in the selection process is the screening of applications for interviews based on the following criteria:

Class of degree
O-level Grades
Strength of personal statement

Applicants who meet the minimum requirements for the program and possess the best credentials based on the strength/quality of their qualifications and relevance of their proposed study to the Fund’s mandate will be invited for interviews at a date to be announced.

however, d main reason for creating the group is to be able to share PDF files with large size.

Dear Sd,

One can easily be said to understand your point of wanting privacy; but in all honesty, such creating a whatsapp is tantamount to being over zealous over nothing in particular..

1. Those of you in the group would have no cogent information to share amongst yourself, you will still end up running back to nairaland for information.
2. Creating a group at this stage is quite premature... what if no one in the group gets called up for the interview? Trust me, when the time for a whatsapp group presents itself, you would know.
3. Do you not find the 2017/2018 group interesting and informative? What if those persons decided to have some whatsapp group?
4. With Google drive, dropbox and a few cloud technologies, uploading a document has never been a problem.

I can't control your actions and obviously can't stop you from doing whatever you want to do. I only want to save you guys from wasting your time with the whatsapp group.

..all documents are complete except letter of recommendation from a professor.Do they mean from the intended School or from your School,if is from your school does it necessary have to be a professor. Thanks

the required recommendation letter is from the school you graduated from.
Secondly, u dnt need to download any reference form. All you need to do is to contact a lecturer from you previous institution, explain to him/her the type of reference u need. In this case u need a letter of recommendation for a scholarship award
