wow, I also battled gynecomastia for about 1yr plus, initially visited a private pratictioner for about 2wks where I was given injections � daily n drugs to supplement dat I took also but after sometime I stopped going since there was no improvement, since I had just gained admission I decided to focus in school hoping it will go on its own but it didn't, I was restricted from offing my shirt in public and I never wore tight shirt all in a bid to conceal it and true my friends didn't notice, I was really a concealer, lol....I used to cover my right chest with my school bag�� finally d school year closed n I returned home to the amazement of my parents d swelling didn't reduce, I started browsing online trying to read about about it to cut d long story short finally had d surgery at a federal government hospital after series of test and scans, oh lord I cried cos d stress was real I d money spent also on all those test which revealed everything to be normal

now d surgery u will have is called mastectomy which involves cutting away d excess fat in area, it's quite a simple procedure though and if handled well u will just be fine afterwards, u will be put on local anesthesia so u will be asleep throughout n won't feel any pain except when u wake up though with "dressing"�� but don't worry it's just for a few weeks and u will be fine and kicking again, d surgery cost me about 40k excluding money for tests, scans, and drugs or surgery materials

on a final note don't forget to pray also it's very important and trust God for a successful surgery, if u need any other detail hit me up on zero nine zero five four two three five two seven two

Finally how was the surgery till date any improvement on swelling and scar?

Modified: You talked about being put to sleep it isn't local anesthesia if you are asleep during the process and if yours is base on you being fat or plumpy then it is pseudogynecomastia, as it is been called I ran two scan around February in LUTH namely: Breast USS for N2000 and Cytology for N3500.

no swelling, just a small scar, secondly am slim so definitely was not pseudogynecomastia

I made an inquiry on the price which I was told 118k because I will be put to sleep during the process, I countered the statement by telling the consultant that I was to told by the most senior surgeon it costs less than 50k to carryout under a local anesthesia (involves being awake during the process). The consultant later said price for local anesthesia is now 65k but until then they would know if it Local, Intermediate or Major.

I suspect it just a way of extortion from me, I will stand on the ground of local because all gynecomastia surgery I have watched online is done under local anesthesia.

Price is as follows Lagos University Teaching Hospital:

Local (involves being awake) - 65k
Intermediate (sleeping) - 118k
Major (patient with cancer) - 178k

I challenged the consultant that I was to be operated on the 27th of December but due to the suppose strike I couldn't, he told me that those who couldn't meet up are usually given a later date after clearing others. So failingly March, or 31st of January if a particular patient fails to show up

May I advise you to just leave this guy? He is affiliated to University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH), and he got no gynecomastia surgery done. I even assume him to be a student of that school, just try and get to a more competent medical hospital/practioner to avoid issues.

There is only one solution to this embarrassing condition, and that is surgical extraction of the fatty tissue.

No amount of exercise will get rid of that female breast tissue in a man.

No drug will have any effect whatsoever on that deformity.

Look for a competent doctor, pay for the surgery, and be freed for life, from that condition, after a one-hour surgical procedure that is by the way VERY bloody, though harmless if handled by a qualified and experienced surgeon.

Mine was done years ago in Ontario California. The total cost of the surgery at that time was $1,200 USD.

My prediction is that such an operation would cost up to 400K naira in Nigeria today, but once again, a COMPETENT surgeon with a proven track record MUST be sought out, to avoid errors being made.

Oh, that's much i don't even think i cn have that in the nxt 10 yrs to come, i have only 33k in my acc which i ve been saving since December 2017.... I ve had this gynaecomastia for 11 years now and since then up till date no human alive has ever seen my chest or back not even my mum who i lives with, i lives in a face me i face you apartment and i always wore shirt to the bathroom not even singlet, most of the neighbors don't call me my name anymore, they now call me boy girl.... If the site under my nipple where the gynaecomastia development could become slightly darker i would be happy and greatful but it's fair like a woman brest and that just makes the whole situation worse... It's a strong seed under my both nipple... I have really suffered alot all this whole years

I have been battling gynecomastia for the past 3 years now, I also noticed it for the first time back then in NYSC camp bauchi state, I was also told it will disappear with time on its own(I believed the doctor and didn't get any drugs) but this has not been the case as it has more than doubled over this 3 years period. Am presently considering surgery to completely remove it and then initiate testosterone therapy
