sutelk: Get someone in Nigeria to help you get your sim reissued from MTN(forget what it's called) but you can get another SIM with the same number. Alternatively download the app with another phone here and use the same username and password to access it if you still remember those details. 1 Like |

justwise:Will try getting another SIM through someone back home. I just hope they will allow it. I've tried the app on another phone but it requires me activating with a code sent as an SMS to my now damaged SIM card. Thanks. |

marylandcakes: You are very right. It all boils down to upbringing and spending time with them. Thanks so much love. |

LagosismyHome: Thanks for the encouragement. To be fair, it’s my poor Nigerian mentality that’s making me look down on their government schools- they may actually be very great (definitely better than Nigerian private secondary schools I am sure). I only feel guilty because I know my folks spent to send me to the best. So I feel I should return the favour to the kids. I expected private (or public as it’s called) to be expensive, I just didn’t think it would be this expensive. Make I born the pikin first before I worry about school 2 Likes 1 Share |

Personally even if its affordable, i don't i want to come to this world to come and live for the kids o. Firstly, bringing them here is one thing they should be grateful for, i did't get this from my parents. Secondly, i would ensure they live in an area with schools with outstanding ratings, and that would mean i'm gonna be paying a lot more on rent/mortgage. Thirdly, i would also enroll them for extra lessons to make up... Abeg, i don try, if i remember some more, i'll add to it. I have not come to this world to live for the kids alone, make i enjoy and save for my tomorrow cos its not guaranteed these kids will sort you out when you are old ooo Aphrodite007: 6 Likes |

How do I get my house deposit back? There's no End of tenancy command on the deposit protection website. Abi na to open dispute or just ask the landlord to return it? |

Re: Living In The Uk/life As A UK Immigrant by Rubyventures: 11:20am On Jan 24, 2019 |
Inkredible: Your landlord by law was supposed to have given your the information about the deposit scheme used not later than 3months into the tenancy, if he has failed to do this, you can legally claim back about 2 or 3 months (not sure) rent back from him. |

You can try to get the sim through someone back home through proxy but majority of the providers don't do it anymore because of the fraud through the sim if linked to an account. Had similar case with First bank and GTB, was able to log in online to GTB but wasn't possible with First Bank. To cut the long story short, i finished all the money in GTB throughout the year while i couldn't access the First Bank with so much call and letters to my account officer. I was told i will have to come to Nigeria. I got to Nigeria in 10 months and cleared my account with the teller asking me to see the ABM in the process. I explained all the frustration throughout the year to him then my account officer called first thing next day asking if i am in the country?''JAMB QUESTION". In my opinion, if you get the sim re-activated and sent to you then fine otherwise you might have to wait till you get to Nigeria. The risk with re-activating the sim in Nigeria is just the dangers of falling into the wrong hand because of your BVN linked to all your accounts. sutelk: |
