The law makes it clear the kind of activities a judicial officer can engage in. He has gone very foul of the law. There is a moral burden on the NJC , NBA and all other civil society bodies who truly want corruption to end in Nigeria.
Bros quote the law naa.Haba!!

Unlike many other lawyer and SAN Clarke is not in the habit of paying judges for favourable judgements, or pandering to protectionism. Someone like him can never be the head of the NBA.

He however made it clear as he is the one who got the appeal court judgement which now form a precedent which all the lawyers are quoting in defence of Onoghen, the process has to start at the NJC or straight to the senate for a removal request.

All this mumu investigators why not conclude your investigations before going to the media. There is nothing wrong with the CJN having investments. In fact judges are supposed to invest so as not to fall to temptation by accepting bribes.

All this media trial is hogwash. If you think you have a smoking gun then take it to the NJC.
diz is a very stupid government honestly....All diz so as to frustrate and embarrass him out of office?? Forgetting that 2 can play the game Is diz not a vindication of the opposition and well meaning nigerians aside the mediocres cum bmcs..?? You av ur IGP,amina ready to tweak the system..,all we need now is who to shut and dismiss election tribunal incase they can't stand the pain of rigging and they decide to wail to court for justice...Our man will be there...

Is diz not a proof of lifelessness...?? He ordered the trials and travails of his CJN to be truncated since but yet his subordinates decided to flagrantly disregard him because he's mentally and physiologically disadvantaged..

How can a government agency go through someone's financial history and goes ahead to leak it to the press without carrying out any investigations!!!?

It is not a crime to deposit money in bank.It is not a crime to invest your money. It is not a crime to legitimately acquire FG's property.

This mimu.blackmails will not work.

Justice Onnogen will remain the CJN whether the APC likes it or not

Have you heard of the BVN. The reason the CJN is being put through the kid is because he didn't take the moral route of stepping down. He has been caught but he is still playing hard.

Well he is a public officer and when you sign that line a lot of your business stops being private. Court submissions are also public documents that any decent journalist can get. There are plenty judicial clerks etc that leak(sell) that sort of stuff to the press.

[quote author=emmykk post=75023477]The nation newspaper is own by tinubu and tinubu is APC leader.

The CJN of Nigeria will fight this case to the last because his over 30+ years work in the civil service can not be rubbish by a 4year single term President.[/quot

Because Tinubu was the one that helped him declared assets, how could an intelligent man like CJN forget to declare asset, he should also face the judgement in court. No wonder these people found no crime in looting and fail to jail looters except that exceptional woman that sent Dariye to where he belongs.

Now I know that, there is no future for Nigerian youths. The senior citizens managed Nigeria to stay united through their diversity. The reverse is the case now. My thought on this is, we can no longer live as one Nigeria.

The Nigerian Judiciary still remains the most corrupt institution in Nigeria

Police are learners in the art.

You can kill someone in broad daylight with a 1000 witnesses and still go Scot free if you know the link. They will fraustrate the case, prolong and make you an ATM machine to your lawyer.

If you are not mighty, ignore the system like a plague. It's corruption ridden

Brown toothed Thiefnuubu's the nation newspaper doing the hatchet job again.
High court judges get £20k yearly for their medical vacation, imagine how much a supreme court judge who has been a judge for at least 20years will get?
This is apart from salaries, other allowances like wardrobe, housing, etc.
If you think it is outrageous, Google how many hundred millions Ayesha Buhari gets for her cooking utensils yearly.
Judges are paid well all over the world to shield them from the temptation of taking bribes.

It is a lie that high court judges get £20k yearly for medical. Stop pulling phantom numbers our if the air. Judges are poorly paid in Nigeria and only during Jonathan's regime did they do something about it. The recent dispensation of justice act also resolved some financial issues in the judiciary.

You wanted to sound intelligent but you revealed to us that you have a dumb skull just like terms, you be Olodo rapata!

Anywhere you have too much media trial, you'll defintely have a poor court trial as you'll help the accused and his defense block all loopholes and win the case. Secondly no sound judge wants to read opinions that may be bias their minds from newspapers relating to a case they are handling. That's why sane people do not comment subjudicially on cases that are already in court.

I know that these facts may be too heavy for your 2KB zombierudeen skull to process but I'll hope against hope that you understand at least 1% of this truism. grin

Where and how did he come across such personal funds? Wages, dividends from investments or corruption in the judiciary?.....

You are only hearing one side because of media trial...this was how saraki was treated yet he was not found guilty.

Sometimes media trial is very welcomed especially in a country like Nigeria where defenders of corruption like you abound.

If these evidences are genuine then I support the media trial 100 percent.

What I do not support is media trial with poor court trial.

What is needed is presenting a strong case in the courts as well.

A whole lot of common Nigerians get media trails and judgements in the streets. They get beaten and lynched.

It's so pathetic for people like Chukwudi who call Amaechi and Tinubu corrupt all day and night (without trial) and then are now complaining of media trials.

Do you really think a strong case would work when the judge gets alert?
