Hmn.

I weak.

all province in Canada requires IELTS.

I already see you are scared of IELTS like many of us. one because the fees is high and two because you might not get the required band needed. but if I may ask have you looked at other countries outside Canada and USA? have you looked at ireland, new Zealand( if going for midwifery don't need IELTS), Georgia, etc? UK is even easier too and you can be comfy here.
thanks for replying me dear, your write up saide province you reside in, luckily Nigerian Nurses are exempted from English proficiency tests so that is what am asking which province is that? The Georgia is not in Canada? Please can we chat private either on facebook I need more information thanks.

So I got an RFE from my petitioner Shearwater health and I am devastated. Anyone with Shearwater health and facing same? They said they will refile in 30days. So right now

What really happened? Did they give you any reason? Speak to Karmeena so you'd know actually what they want. Good luck to you.

Massive turn over rates , I mainly talking about bedside nursing , bedside nursing jobs tend to be very stressful so people are always leaving. Another reason for turn over ,is that new graduate nurses will work a job out of school they do not particularly care for , get some experience and leave. Also the younger are going for nurse practitioner school one -two years out of school. The good thing about in American nursing is that there are many places and specialities in nursing. I’m just shedding light on actual nursing in America , since no one has really talked about it in this thread.

Hello, I'm a psychiatric nurse. I want to know how easy it is to work as a mental health nurse over there

since she is already a nurse she can apply for registration first as an lpn so she can start earning money while she works on her BSN. OR if she has someone over there in Canada that can invite her over then she can apply to York University for their 20 months BSN program for international nurses. The school will only admit her if she is already on ground there that is why i suggested the lpn route. Or she can do NNAS evaluation and go straight to university depending on what level the school decide to start her on.

Hello Barbie,
Kindly throw light on your statement above. Are there schools that offer part time nursing program in Canada? So that while working with the lpn she can be upgrading her qualification.

I did the registration myself, i filled all the forms, they later sent a mail to do a CV in a form format sent to her mail in word, i filled the CV and answer those attached question, they judged by replying with they dont want pediatric nurse, that she should go into other dept for 1year, same with Avant, but Avant said 3 months.
Now we are just focusing on CES from cgfns, and probably do the qualifying exam. Then later apply for passport, or even go to write the nclex on her own am sure if she passes all plenty grammar go end.
Please is there anywhere one can do coaching for passing the cgfns qualifying exam or i will be glad if i can get materials on alonge48@gmail.com

Questions for experts in the house. The answers can provide direction.
1. Which schools can a RN resident in Nigeria apply to and get admitted to study or upgrade to BScN in Canada? (2yr course)
2. Why is the success rate very very low for RN nurses going through the nursing recruitment agencies (Passportusa, OgradyP, Avant etc) to the US.
3. Is it only RN with working experience or currently working that the recruitment agencies (Passportusa, OgradyP, Avant etc) work with?
4. Can someone still request for transcript from University of Benin Teaching Hospital by proxy? I heard it is no longer possible.
5. Has anyone here gone through NNAS while in Nigeria and eventually migrated to Canada?

Can someone answer these questions?

Well...it is true O'Grady mainly sign in Nurses in Medical /surgical wards for now. Nurses in other wards are hardly considered for now. I'm sure of nurse midwives...they are not wanted for now. You can try if your wife could be posted to this area of their interest and reapply. O'Grady just signed my wife last month after a test by Kaplan and a video interview conducted late last year. She's scheduled to start pre-nclex class soon. Their professionalism and response to mails highly commendable.
