It is a good beginning but a wise farmer will not start cultivation on this note except he has a borehole to support should the rains suddenly stop. This rain is not reliable.

These early rains are a set up... Wise farmers will ignore it and wait for d season to officially set in

Do not be deceive by this initial gragra rain, the rain is a set up, it happened like this around 2016 or so, and a lot of farmers where lured into planting by February and March, when heavy draught hit them, that was how everything just got dried up in the farm, they had to re- till the earth by April to replant.

I would not be surprised if there are two occasions of rainfall before February ends.

And as many have observed, this would be trap for early planters.

But, could we say we had high sun intensity last year and probably rainfall wasn't much and it's resulting in the bursting out of rainfall from the cloud this early time of the year.

Raining now in Anambra. Bt na this kind rain dey ginger over-zealous farmers to enter farm thinkin it's rainy season already only for it to cease for 2 months leaving their crops at the mercy of the scorching sun. I hope the rain persists.

same here, this shows that there would be early harvest of crop this year and there would be adequate food supply, thats if the fulani xmen and their cow do not destroy our crop...
