Visit the website of the Norwegian directorate of immigration (www.udi.no), there you will get all the information you need.

UiS begins its admission applications in January and closes in February/March.
Check uis.no for programmes in English that suit you.

You can also check studyinnorway.no for other suitable institutions.

Hello brethren. I must say sincerely that the way you guys share ideas here is great. God I'll bless u all. Please I v completed my NYSC since July 2015 but no job. Now am considering masters option in Norway. My problem apart from d money to be transferred is that I don't know if my undergraduate course can get me a job in Norway after studies as I intend to stay further. I am a graduate of international studies and history with a cgpa of 4.49.i intend to do a masters in peace and security studies and I v found one university of nordland. Please how is this city in terms of getting a part time job? With my course, can I apply directly for masters in international business in any Norwegian uni? Wat are my chances of being admitted and must I do toefl or any English exam as a requirement for admission? Ur guide is kindly needed.
.
Whats the essence of a CGPA like this Why not 'gift' the person .01....clearly he must have been underscore in one way or the other.

I got two different scholarships for PhD, one in Norway and the second one in New Zealand. Which one should I choose? Tho the pay in Norway is more. Besides, in terms of getting PR and Job opportunities after, which one is the best to go for? Thanks for your kind suggestions.

Choose norway , you will be paid as a PhD student at least 45000 dollars a year. Then you can get your pR

For my case, the relocation service center of my school applied on my behalf. I only sent to them the required documents. Since I am going for PhD, my case falls under skilled workers, and to get a resident permit for work, I had to pay 5400NOK. My application took 4weeks before it was approved by UDI.

To start with, you can apply for jobs that require your skills in Norway. A lot of job adverts are available here: https://www.jobbnorge.no. If you are able to get one then every other thing will follow.

Been following this thread and really wish to come to Norway for a masters degree and work there afterwards. Studied Microbiology B.Sc and if possible would love to get advice on courses to do on masters level that is marketable in a country like Norway. I know its not an easy question for anyone to answer but probably someone might have a tip or two based on experience gathered during ur schooling or stay.

Weather: Wear more layers of clothing during winter. If possible double or triple your clothes from head to toe.

Job: Do a masters and find an IT job afterwards. Job market is opening up again, especially IT and Engineering.

Accommodation: Student housing - cheapest and conducive enough.

Friendliness: Norwegians are antisocial. They probably sold their interactive skills for oil money. wink

Secondly I am a final year student in Lagos State University studying Insurance. I want to further in my education by going to the University of Oslo for a course in Entrepreneurship or Stochastic and risk management. Although Risk management is very related to my course of study. I will be graduating with a cgpa of 3.90 by the grace of God. I have been doing petty petty research and I want anyone that wants to apply for the admission when it opens in October to make us work together so we can achieve our dreams.. I might even forfeit NYSC, because I can't serve a country that hasn't served me. Please let us hook up good people, and if creating a whatsapp group would be okay please early preparation prevents failure. God bless us all. Do we still have statflux here? Make una help us oooo

Competitions are high these days, depending on the university of your choice, you'll need minimum of 75% CGPA. For the top schools, may be 80% and above. University of Tromso accepts First Class Student only (for some courses am aware of). It will do no harm to send mail to the corresponding universities.

Admission of MSc in Norway usually begins in October down to February ending.. Depending on availability of admission placements by schools... You tend to have good chances if u have a good result at first degree... If u happen to come out with second class lower... I will advise you go for less competitive courses.. You might be lucky
