If we continue at this pace - we will hit 150B (kshs 15 trillion) in 2023. Then hit 400-500B by 2030. By then we will definitely be competing with South Africa. Nigeria we will not exists then or will be mired in a civil war - Oil-dependent countries are facing a bleak future. We just need to manage our ethnic based politics... mtisTheQubit: |

vaxx: But they are doing extremely well and are stable. Seychelles for example depends on tourism and service industry which is human resource - no country can be set itself best more than that. Mauritius has the most mature service and banking industry in Africa and perhaps the most diverse non-mineral economy in Africa. The only problematic country here is equatorial guinea. If oil industry crashes, this country could become poorer than Chad. 2 Likes 1 Share |

mtisTheQubit: Nuclear fusion is good but it is just too powerful if anything happens to a nuclear fusion reactor you are looking at devastation like the whole of east africa wipe off the map in one accident.. also I believe smaller is better especially for remote areas I believe it is better to put many small power stations than to spend a lot of money on high voltage lines and post. Another thing is how many third world countries have the technology to go nuclear 2 Likes |

Jonraid: It all boils down to power a hydrogen engine is more powerful than a diesel or petrol engine for the same size in terms of horsepower to kilograms. Electric vehicles are made very light extremely light to go long distances you cannot load electric vehicle heavily so when you take the power to weight ratio you find out electric vehicles lose out |

We have not even perfected our Agriculture yet,I see more and more potential. It's hard to see a country that become developed without going agrarian first.Let us get the sugar, cotton(apparell) and pyrethrum sector to life.Let us perfect our maize, rice, wheat, coffee and tea sectors. In this way, there will be money flowing through the villagers pockets. We need to encourage community ranching instead of community pastoralism. We need to go back to agriculture,we need to rethink agriculture;we need to go back to the basics.Food will be the next oil! rvp2018: |
