Jorginho was also perfect for sarri like you guys said, he was sarri's boy, but he has not made 1 single assist this season and only 2 big chances created. Now they have signed higuain, let me bring it to your notice that lukaku (9) has more goals than higuain (8} this season, Ac Milan lost higuain and they went for a striker that has scored 19 goals in 21 appearances from a team like Genoa. What Chelsea need is a midfielder that can create chances, they had that in fabregas but I don't know why a manager that claim to be attacking would neglect fabregas. Kovacic, Kante and jorginho are all poor when it comes to creating chances and giving assists. Get a more attacking midfielder and the goals will come. Liverpool's firminho doesn't deliver good number of goals but their style of play brings goals every now and then for them.

Kovacic is a far better player than Fabregas. Football is no more about the fantastic play that meets the eyes but intelligence, work rate and reading the plays of the opponents.

Wijnaldum, I doubt has any assist this season but is definitely one of the shining lights of the midfield game in football. No top coach will keep Kovacic on the bench for Fabregas. Fabregas is a king in the past. Today, Kovacic is miles ahead of him.

When I talk about reading plays, it is not about finding defensive weakness of the opposition but their offensive play. Breaking them down with tackles and interceptions. Today's top midfielders like Kevin De Bruyne, Lemar, Benardo Da Silva and Wijnaldum contribute more than just reading weaknesses and passing.

It takes a lot of hardwork to get to that level and Fabregas is miles behind in that respect.

You are forgetting Fabregas flopped at Barcelona. By the way, Fabregas in his lifetime would never keep Toni Kroos or Luka Modric on the bench. Fabregas might have the beautiful passes but lacks the kind of workrate required in modern style of play we see at Dortmund, Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham.

You might be blown by his style of play but Fabregas will never be picked ahead of Kovacic by any top coach. He lacks the work rate and was terribly lazy in lots of games he played for Chelsea.

FYI, Kovacic played at the base of midfield (in front of center backs) while he always carries the ball forward during his time at Inter. When Inter sold Kovacic to Real, they bought Brozovic as his direct replacement.

You are very funny. Of course they will bench him. Brozovich is a specialist DM like Casemiro and Kante. Fabregas can't even make the bench ahead of guys like Koke and Saul. Look at the likes of Vidal and Rakitic. They are not raking goals and assists but giving their all to make their teams win. These guys are more crucial than the goals assists you scream of.

There is a big part of the team fighting back when the team loses the ball and Fabregas lack the work rate to help the team press or track back to win the ball.
