Since you don't know about positions in football, go to brozovic wiki page and read his style of play.... Better still screenshot it and post it here.

Of course when you are getting old you will start diminishing. Didn't Terry went to championship for peanuts?

And if you keep throwing subtle insults to prove your love for Flopigas you will get insults back

So why is Chelsea not winning matches with kovacic and jorginho

As I said before, the possession style takes time to pick up. Guardiola did not win the league in his first season. In Guardiola's second season, he got rid of the chaff. Sarri is building something special. The results will come with time but first he must get out the chaffs like Fabregas.

Fabregas has been so lazy most times he plays. Lacks the work rate to meet up.

Look at Silva at City and see how hard he works for the team. He is about Fabregas age and played in the U17 and U20 World Cup with Fabregas but Silva still puts in a whole lot of effort for the team.

Not just passes.

Fabregas lacks the work rate and cannot be compared to a work horse like Kovacic.

Look at the stats you posted of Fabregas and compare the Average to Iniesta. You will see Fabregas contributed more. When it comes to goals, both Xavi and Iniesta did not come close but their contributions were more iconic to Fabregas.

It shows the goals assists you scream of was not the key ingredient.
Iniesta came from the youth academy, he started out as a youngster and played even after he left his peak, but Fabregas came in at his peak and spent only 3 seasons with them, who is supposed to have better ratios. Zlatan has more goal ratio for Manchester united than Rooney but you can't compare his impact with Rooney because of the time factor, get this into your head

You are the one who should shift. At Inter he was wrongly used as a defensive midfielder the same way Mourinho used Modric wrongly as an attacking midfielder. He has played defensive midfielder role once in a while but every right thinking non Fabregas fan knows that Kovacic is a box to box midfielder and was Modric backup while Llorente was the backup to Casemiro the defensive midfielder.

Fabregas is a spent force. The last time he played seriously as a deep lying play maker was at Arsenal. He flopped at Barça and his football was destroyed. They played him as false 9 most of the time and though he scored goals and won some trophies, he was not the world class Fabregas that was in Arsenal in 2006

Its just funny how you write. I posted something up there and you are still saying it's not true, Kovacic was wrongly used as DM throughout his time at Inter? A role he played that Real came calling?

I laughed with your last statements about Fabregas, so you know he did well enough at Barca. But your low capacity brain still branded him flop.

Why was Guardiola booted out of Barca eveb though he won a lot of trophy for them? Why was this same Higuain that your Chelsea signed booted out of Juventus even though he scored a lot of goals for them??

Go figure.

That was my statement in 2014 before Van Gaal began his job at Manchester United. Van Gaal is an extremist when it comes to possession football but required a long time. I knew Manchester United lacked the patience to work with Van Gaal.

Guardiola doesn't play possession game, he goes all out attack, and he will be forever grateful to Fabregas for his time at barca. Chelsea has become a boring team, that their match thread don't get to front page again, out of their last four matches only 1 moved to FP, and that was because they were playing against arsenal.

But he was sacked by barca because he left them 1 point above relegation zone, that's what you get when you posses and not attack

You keep shouting Wikipedia Wikipedia. I can go there right now and edit what's on that page. We watched Brozovich in the world cup. He is a typical defensive midfielder whose major role is providing cover for the defense. He doesn't move the ball like Modric or Kovacic

Not replying you this tard again. But for other people who might be reading, i will make this last shot

So because Brozovic played DM at the world that makes him a DM?

FYI, Kovacic played DM for Inter and during 2014 world cup, Croatia coach also used him in that same DM he was playing at Inter alongside Modric and Rakitic but Croatia came home empty handed.

Dalic learnt that lesson and he never used Kovacic to start any important game at 2018 world cup.

seems you don't know what possession game is
Guardiola don't tell his boys, go and possess the ball, he tells them go and attack, attack always and its because they are always attacking that they tend to possess a lot but sarri says just be with the ball, don't loose the ball and when you get a good chance you can shoot. That's the difference between attacking and possession game.

Even when Fabregas was at Barcelona with Iniesta. Keep in mind, Iniesta is older but his impact on the the team was far better than Fabregas when you reference his influence to the style of play.

Not true at all. I am a City fan and a big follower of Guardiola. You do not get to be the second best teams with respect of possession by going all out attack.

Our first rule is to keep the ball. Second rule is win the ball back as fast as possible before we attack. Most attacks are done after creating spaces in the opponents half with well played possession football.

As I said before, Van Gaal needed time to build Manchester United. He changes a team's style of play from its DNA.

At AZ, I think Van Gaal finished 13-14 on the table. The next season, he won the Eredivisie with AZ. It takes patience and a strong heart to work with Van Gaal because he believes in his philosophy to the core.

Iniesta is older, Even though it can be like two years, in that perspective, Fabregas was closer to his prime years than Iniesta but Iniesta offered more class.

Finito.

Sterling plays on the forward line which play a vital role in the attacking segment of our game play. Most time, close to the opposing goal. When we get to that section, we can lose the ball with the mentality of winning the ball back as soon as possible. That does not mean Stones or Fernandinho will play with such mindset because if we lose the ball in that section, we are exposed.

Impatience of the Barcelona board. It takes a strong heart and patience to work with Van Gaal. When you look back, you will see he was working on something phenomenal. His knowledge is too deep. Deeper for even the masters of the game. Let alone you and me.

because iniesta is a better player in all angle, even when Suarez is at his core prime, messi will still perform better than him even though messi is older and that's because messi is better than him in all angles. But what Fabregas has achieved, Kovacic can never in his entire life achieve it.

Impatience after winning league?. Van gaal did not end that season, he was sinking down the table day by day and it was looking like they were heading for relegation, I just have a question for you, if you were barca president, will you leave van gaal to continue coaching and risk a club of that capacity going to relegation??

So you now see my point. Despite Fabregas having high goals and assists, better than Iniesta, he was not the better player.

So that is also why Kovacic is a better fit to Sarri than Fabregas. He offers more to the modern day system than Fabregas.

A Fabregas in his prime lacked the work rate to break into a set up like Liverpool with the likes of Naby Keita, Henderson, Wijnaldum.

You might think of his passes but the intensity and work rate takes a bigger part of the game. That is why you see the likes of Vidal taking center stage.

The system is still growing and the systems are not replicas. What matters is that Possession is a big part of Guardiola and Manchester City game. It comes first. Sterling and Sane were not performing at the current frequency when Guardiola first came.
