It's outright disregard for separation of power.

They aren't even bothering to hide their determination to oust the CJN before he appoints tribunal judges. Suspend the CJN who wouldn't bend to your wishes, and put Buhari's kin who would then install judges who would in turn rape justice after APC rigs the election and the results are contested.

In saner climes, this ought to spark a revolution.

I swear down, GEJ was a better man and a better Nigerian than this senile illiterate tyrant. It's unfortunate the majority of Nigerians are cowardly and either shortsighted or plain stupid.

Shame on all of you that have sold your consciences and the future of Nigeria.
Your GEJ suspend CBN Governor when he complain that $20b was missing and he collide with minster of petroleum to embezzled all the money available to develop the country to the extent that they have to borrowed money to pay workers, to you he is a better Nigeria? but PMB suspend CJN because he cannot account and justify the money that were found in his account, then you called the president illiterate? Why some of your people from SE always thinks backward and senseless? No wonder Governor Okorocha build statue of a president in owerri that was remove for corruption in SA. I now understand.

When Goodluck Jonathan suspended Justice Salami and the AGF supported his action did heavens fall?

That action by Jonathan essentially rendered the suspension of a federal Judge by the President a law by precedence and Buhari has taken a cue from that legal precedence.

This is the law and there is absolutely nothing anybody can do about it

Stop misleading Nigerians Salami was SUSPENDED BY NJC and not the president (GEJ as it were). What buhari did is clear desperation and total illegality that cannot be proven anywhere.

yeah, they conveniently discovered it a few weeks to the national elections, just before tribunal judges are appointed.

You guys may fool some Nigerians, but not all of us.

It was NJC that suspended Salami and he wasn't CJN. Stop being ignorant. GEJ respected democracy. Unlike him, Buhari and the Cabal dictating moves in his ears have made strategic plans to ensure they stay in power beyond 2019. Someone who cannot readily tell the difference between presidential, senatorial and gubernatorial candidates.

You sound very stupid right now with your gibberish. Salami was President of Court of Appeal and not the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), and I'm not from the SE.

Do I really blame the man called buhari for all the undemocratic moves he has taken since 2015? No! The people I blame are the gullible Nigerians who voted for him in 2015. The NBA should do everything to resist this brazen impunity of govt not obeying court orders. The NLC and other trade unions should galvanize their members and declare a nationwide strike to protest this impunity. Nigerians should come out and be counted, and resist this. If you want your country to remain a country, this is the time to show you mean. Nigerians own this country collectively. This country is not buhari's father's property. Enough of all the nonsense.

This is a power play between FG and Judges. They are probably frustrating corruption cases.

Something FG should have done long time
I don't think so!

There are three corrupt institutions in Nigeria
1. The Executive (through the Security Agencies, NNPC, CBN, FIRS)
2. The Legislative (through the MDAs)
3. The Public Service (through Contractors and Service providers)

The fight against corruption is usually a SCAPE GOAT kind of window dressing.

The law says REMOVE and not SUSPEND.

Stop assuming both mean the same thing.

Buhari as President can suspend single handedly but he cannot REMOVE singlehandedly.

Plus let me teach you today since all your years you have been ignorant of this fact.

THE THREE ARMS OF GOVERNMENT ARE NOT CO-EQUAL.

THE EXECUTIVE COMES FIRST AND IS ABOVE THE OTHER TWO

Can you cite any reference to the constitution that states the Executive branch of government is supreme?

Suspension removes the CJN from performing his day to day activities for which a 2/3 majority of the Senate in due difference to the constitution have confirm him to do.

It is the effectively the same as removal.

If the Executive branch can suspend anyone as you are indicating, I guess Buhari can also suspend the Senate President or any Senator?

What is the use of the constitution or democracy if the President can suspend anyone? And you somehow don’t call this dictatorship?

If it is not dictatorship, what is the difference?

I guess the military boyz must be acting constitutionally when they rolled into town and suspended everyone in the 1900s.
