How can u even compare forgetting a knife in a human being to missing a goal? Football is a game, it is not life and death. The problem u have here is that most doctors have not forgotten knifes in their patients whereas all football players have made mistakes here and there. If the best medical doctors in the world were forgetting things in their patients upandown u could compare the two.

Football has gone beyond being a game. That is the reality bro. There is national pride and huge monies at stake now.

Nigerians are the ones beating referees o!

Nigerian fans are not hostile to foreigners. They can cheeer the visiting foreign team if they play better and are winning

This same Ismaili that just got banned by CAF almost linched Enyimba fans and supporters way back then in 2003.

Wydad players and officials went to be bullying Sun downs players and ball boys last weekend. U needed to watch Pitso's post match interview. Dude was ready to fight grin

The money might have improved but the national pride has always been in the game. That is no reason to take it any further than a game. The only thing I won't accept is a player not giving his best. I can understand if the player continuously misses and offers nothing else but for one single miss I can't agree.

Kingsley Ehizibue blows transfer to Genoa: "Everything was well arranged, but in the end my heart said that this was not the right time to leave PEC and choose Genoa"

This boy was all set to move to a bigger league and pulled out at the last second after passing a medical. His reason makes no sense to me.

Have you read about Andres Escobar of Colombia? Go find out where one costly goal he scored landed him.

Not just misses but also mistakes. A single mistake has ended the careers of so many players.

The Football community can be unforgiving some times.

He offered the greatest threat for Arsenal going forward. Arsenal's attacking play lost some steam once he was taken off.

He still needs to build up his confidence in taking shots at goal.

Ozil is finished and should be off-loaded come summer.

He was always caught in two minds whether to cross the ball or shoot, and he spent unnecessary time on the ball

I hope he develops confidence and a thick skin

Some of those were just trickeries to confuse opponents about his intentions.

Talking about holding too much of the ball. He needed to do that on some of those occasions in a bid to open up space in the defense of the opposition. You saw how he initiated the Arsenal's only goal for last night. That was one of such moves.

Iwobi has grown better as a winger under Emery.

I Must give credit to ogunbote... he is a rare gem..someone I admire so much.
hope that man who took over from aigbogun is still coaching enyimba
also...I so much fancy maikaba and his style of coaching...a man who can create something out of nothing.

I do love this men just the organization of the league I don't like...

the super eagles don't need the dude that much for now....

he can choose to stay in Holland and end his career there.

national team experience tells a lot in players exposure and decisions...I am sure the national team experience contributed in Tyrone and ekong decisions to leave for better clubs when the opportunities come calling

Escober was killed by a gambler and the nonsense should not be condoned. No fan on earth has a right to law a finger on an athlete.

Yes a mistake can end a players career but only if they let it. Why do u think I was so happy with Ighalo when he came back firing. These guys feel the worst because they know it was their mistake that cost their team but it is the job of fans, teammates and coaches to cheer them up and let them know that u win as a team and lose as a team. This is the most important aspect of sports, learning to deal with adversities together.

Previously football game was so taken seriously that fights, quarrel and attacks on teams were the norm but recently it is seen as an entertaining profession by players and fans. Yet there are fans (exceptional) who takes it as a do or die afair dats when we hear news of suicide and killing but In all mistake In football can't be compared with some profession lik medicine and engineering.
But I think and insist that all football players should always be at there best

For many of those fans Football is more than just a game. That is the Issue here. Ighalo received death threats for his miss against Argentina and Yobo received same too for the own goal against France. Yakubu was the highest goal scoring African player in England before Drogba over took him. He is still the 3rd highest scoring SE player. He scored very important goals for Nigeria. But just that singular miss ended his national team career. He was not forgiven by not only the fans but also the NFF and the coaches. His club career also nose dived.

Pierra Wome of Cameroon missed a penalty that could have sent Cameroon to the 2006 WC. In less than 24 his house was in flames.

Godwin Odiye never played for Nigeria again after that own goal he scored during the 1978 WC qualifiers. Best Ogedengbe chased him around the pitch with a broken bottle grin

What finished Sani Kaita? That singular kick against Greece.

Just one single mistake can break a players spinal cord. The football community can be unforgiving that is the truth bro.

Stop condoning bad behavior. These people are criminals. Which law book says that it is ok to send a death threat or burn somebodies house down? These is no such thing as football being more than a game because that is exactly what it is. A real man knows how to handle losses.

The meaning of sports is to be able to fall, get up and try again. If u take that away, u are taking the whole essence of competition. This is the reason why referees are bribed and beat up.

When a player messes up, it affects them the most and for a so called fan to then kick the player while they are down is just inhumane. For example a guy is crying about losing his child at the market, would u then rub salt on it by telling the man that he was careless for losing his child in the first place?
