Bro, how are you able to deal with the ground clearance issue of civic especially the 2005 model. Do you raise the car?

So far I didn't have to do it ..my drivers are not complaining about low ground clearance.. But I think that might change during the raining reason.. But overall it is a good car for uber now. Maybe if uber increase their standard and fare like the way it was at the beginning.. Than 07 elantra and up will be perfect for uber...

My brother one of my new driver is a newbie and a female. She started two weeks ago.. She delivers on time and she is trying.. She said it is tough ,but she is meeting up with her rental of 30k a week.. My point we should always speak for ourselves In certain situations.. Just because Mr. A had a bad month or week or day .. It does not mean it will apply to Mr. B,C,D,E or Mrs. F . If you look at your fingers, not all fingers are equal

Its not about meeting up with remittance but how much is left with the driver.

If the objective is for the driver to constantly make more than the owner.. Unfortunately the driver is in the wrong line of work.

If you are not ready to deal with the ups and down of this business, I will say don't do it .. I have lost more than I have gain. Things are just getting a lot better than before.. When I had a manager, it was one of the hardest business experience for me. Not only did I had to deal with a skin bleaching crooked manager, I also had to deal with drivers that were stealing and crooked mechanics ..all mixed in one pot. A well known driver on nairaland drove for me.. Till today the good for nothing Bastard is owing me over 80k plus...
But at the end of it all .. Am still here .. Even if the business is still highly profitable, same issues will still arise.

Thanks so much, I'll have to be on the sidelines and be patient, since profitability has declined for me to have to put up with headaches again.

What more can I say? When you said you've lost more than you've gained. I'll withhold my decision until things (probably fares) get better.

Hmm. Wanted to disagree until I saw "constantly". Some weeks are better than some for some drivers. Some weeks they make more than the owner depending on how they work. It's wrong for a driver not to remit complete rental for a week that wasn't so good for him that he didn't make up to the amount he is paying the owner, because on weeks he over makes money, he doesn't add to what he pays. If you are not adding, do not subtract.

It's up to the drivers

Fair and bleaching Lion.. Very manipulative and scheming Lion. Claims to know the whole Lagos!! Even was a local celebrity one time both in past and recently. But a car demolishing Bulldozer.

We don tey for this biz oo. Been on it for 3 years now. So I know every Lions and Lionesses.

is it by reliability or him making money for himself also after paying u weekly rental. Any driver who diligently pays his partner and doesn’t make money for himself is a “Big fool” because when small kasala go burst all your efforts to please your partner becomes Useless. Anything you do in this life. Your interest comes first .
I disagree, Your honour comes first.

I didn’t say u shouldn’t pay your rent at all. But don’t go out of way to please your partner. If u aren’t making money for yourself and you are paying weekly rental consistently. The best thing to do is to drop the car.
Now you're talking

What's happening this year. Nobody is mentioning security deposit again. Dru23 hope u collected security deposit from romeo3. I'm surprised u could give him ur car to drive again after the first incident. And I'm most surprised that the guy is still on rental after claiming to be one of the best drivers for 3 years now. To succeed in this business no be by gragra.

From what I can understand about low earnings in January is that there were a lot of new intakes during Dec and Jan. Festive season is over, meaning the requests are back to normal or a little above the previous thrend. Having the requests back to normal means the supply is now more than demand.
And the only reason the business will pickup is that patners will leave due to dissatisfactions, they came with high hope that they have found a goldmine of 140k returns in a month, and those without patience. Hence a little reduction in drivers to balance the supply and demand.
This image, 5 star rating with Honda pilot during the week says a lot.

Good idea but remember the best functional one will be paid(bought) for out of the 2 kidneys. Meanwhile, the money u are given will not be able to save the one u are left with as well as your life if anything happen in future.

Let's all get one thing clearly, the % of investors on this thread are not even up to the 10% of the investors nationwide on uber/ taxify. As a result, posting of earnings on this thread has got no effect on the market situation in January.
Let's avoid using these words " stupid, foolish" they are too harsh. Peace be unto u
