ACS recognizes NIIT as Diploma but that must follow a compulsory 2yesrs experience that relates to the field and sometimes they might cut 4yrs to be equal to their 2 yrs basic requirements. I think you will just have to look for one with JD similar to do in your current role.

EA has Finshd me.. I was given a 12month ban for Plagiarism!.. That one of my episodes was copied form the internet .plz is their anyway I can appeal for the reduction of this ban or atleast a lifting of the ban.. So that I can be able to reapply within this year.. Anybody with a guide and advice will be appreciated..

Why not rewrite your CDR for telecommunications to meet a professional engineer standard. That will be better for you than the time you will wait for Electrical Engineering experience.

I don't think so. The exams are structured differently with varying rules. Studying one for the other may improve your English skills but I doubt it will enhance your point which is the goal.

Your husband's experience is in administration which is completely different from the job descriptions of a social worker. He will not get a positive assessment as a social worker.

The occupation list is available for you to go through and identify if there is any occupation that closely matches your skills or that of your husband.

Wait for the ACS guys to advise you. How, I am not sure you will get a positive assessment as an ICT project manager. Go through the ICT occupations and identify any other IT occupation that matches your skills.

If ICT project manager is appropriate, the ACS people will sure advice. Be patient.

ICT Project Manager is exactly what I have been doing for the 8-years and still doing. I also have 2 certifications (PMP - Project Management Professional and ITIL - Information Technology Infrastructure Library) in that space as well, but I read somewhere on this thread that ACS doesn't grade professional certifications hence the decision not to list them on the previous post.

A few occupations I think are close to what also do are ICT Managers nec (135199), ICT Business Analyst (261111) both of which seems very competitive as well.

Materials engineering is on the 189 list, you don't need any state or regional nomination to be invited.

If you indeed copied from the internet, your appeal cannot achieve anything. There is a specific instruction about plagiarism on their website which you should have adhered to.

However, if you didn't copy, appeal and show evidence that it originated from you.

@Lifted0902 I can't answer your question as I'm not an expert. What I can say is that you would have to check if you meet the requirement of the assessing body of your occupation and the nominating state. Once you think you will meet both requirements, calculate your points to see if you would reach 65 points. All you need to know is online.

I was given the Engineering Technologist outcome because my transcript didn't show sufficient Telecommunications engineering contents. I think it happened to someone else too despite the fact that he has around 5yrs experience. It is easier for someone who studied Electrical & Electronic Engineering to claim either Electrical or Electronic Engineer than other profession.

Find below requirement to assess with a post graduate degree that do not require an ICT degree for admission:

"A post graduate qualification (Graduate Diploma or Masters) that do not require a Bachelor with an ICT
major for entry into the course, must have:
• A minimum of 3 semesters or at least 1.5 years of full-time study (applies only to Australian post graduate qualifications)
• At least 2 semesters or 1 year of full-time equivalent ICT content
• A minimum of 12 units or subjects (overseas degrees may contain less units or subjects)
• 50% ICT content for a 2 year Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification
• 33% ICT content for a 3 year Graduate Diploma or Masters qualification"


Kindly respond to these questions;

1. What are the dates on your certifications i.e. PMP & ITIL?
2. What is the duration of your PgDip in IT?
3. What is the percentage of ICT content of the Course?
4. Are the course contents related to the anzco units found here -->> http://www.acs.org.au/msa/anzsco-code-information.html ?

A rough estimate of your points assuming your PG degree is not related to ICT project manager below:
Age: 25pts
Education: 15pts:
Experience: 5pts (you will loose 5years; 4years before PgDip graduation and 1year after. You will be left with 3yrs)
English: 20pts
State sponsorship: 10pts
Total: 75pts

Based on the current trend, your best chance of getting a nomination for ICT project manager is South Australia on 489 but the occupation is on high point at the moment.

Since you are open to go for a 489 nomination, I'll suggest you assess with TRA for ICT customer support because it is still available on SA's state sponsorship with low points. With that you will be able to claim at least 5 yrs of work experience with your HND completion date. Your possible points will be;

Age: 25pts
Education:15 points (PgDip)
English : 10pts
Experience: 10pts
State sponsorship: 10pts
Total: 70pts

Reference letter is not mentioned in TRA application guideline, however it is good to have as i think it might be requested down the road.
