SalamRushdie: The president is the law....he has suspended the cjn and appointed another as acting cjn which is within his powers.....lemme see who in this nigeria can reverse the law except the president himself though the court can pass a judgment against the order, the president can choose either to obey or not....even the national assembly cant reverse it , they can only make noise on it and pass a fufu resolution that can't be enforced.... 5 Likes 1 Share |

Clerverly:EFCC Files Fraud Charges against CCT Chairman, Danladi Umar ……..https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2018/02/03/efcc-files-fraud-charges-against-cct-chairman-danladi-umar/ This case is over a one year now. Why has Buhari not suspended the CCT Chairman? Because of Buhari's nepotism, of course Buhari is not fighting corruption but just fulfilling a deliberate ethno-political cleansing |

MobilityExpress: Their protest is only suspect to few of you. I would have towed your line of thought if Buhari wasn't gunning for 2nd term. As it is, his intentions can easily be inferred. Also, if he didn't delay the confirmation of the CJN for no reason, it would have been easier to accept this one. |

rusher14: Suspended? No law of the land confer such power on him without first going through NJC or senate. Since the judge is chairman of NJC, he's left to seek approval from the senate. |

ItsMeAboki: Then, you don't understand what is true federalism. There is separation of power and the three alms of Government must operate within the ambient of the law. Please, go back to school and learn rather than support an act that virtually everyone including the international community has condemned. Unless you are one of the criminals in Nigeria. |

Re: Just In: Senate To Reconvene Tuesday, Debate Onnoghen’s Suspension by ItsMeAboki(m): 10:50am On Jan 27, 2019 |
TruthinAction: You are the one who apparently needs to go back to school to learn the difference between federalism i.e. sharing of power between physically distinct composite federating units that make up a country and the separation of power between the three arms of government in a democracy - big difference. |
Re: Just In: Senate To Reconvene Tuesday, Debate Onnoghen’s Suspension by TruthinAction: 12:35pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
ItsMeAboki: Tell us the difference. That in a democratic setting, a President can act contrary to the constitution? What did you drink before writing this? With people like you, there is no hope for Nigeria. |
Re: Just In: Senate To Reconvene Tuesday, Debate Onnoghen’s Suspension by ItsMeAboki(m): 7:25pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
TruthinAction: I have already given you the basic difference; but apparently you are too dull to understand - yet you have the audacity to question my intellect. BTW, the president wasn't acting outside the constitution; he was relying on a legal loophole; among them Onnoghen himself gave a landmark judgement in 2013 pertaining to the powers of the CCT. Go and get better educated before you come here and start insulting ppl out of your sheer ignorance. |
Re: Just In: Senate To Reconvene Tuesday, Debate Onnoghen’s Suspension by TruthinAction: 11:10pm On Jan 27, 2019 |
ItsMeAboki: No matter what you people do, let God’s counsel concerning Nigeria. My deepest prayer for Nigeria is that God will deliver us from this terrorist government. Too many blood has been shed. So many children are now orphans. I certainly don't want to see this repeat itself. Enough is enough. If you wish him to continue, then you are equally a terrorist and the Almighty God will judge you all. There will be no CCT to bail you out. |
