BeardedTraveler: Very bunch of inconsiderate and unintelligent fellows. Yet they will be forming over sabi. If you happen to school abroad, you will hate Nigerian lecturers. In Uk, if you see how renowned Professors and scholars relates with their students in terms of academics, you will know that Nigerian Lecturers are just sadists. Always playing god and forming super intelligent yet have nothing to offer. 2 Likes |

dullardpmb:Boy, you'll need to curse the idiotic mor0ns supporting a shameless international thief, Atiku, who built his university while ASUU was on strike in 2003, to come back to rule Nigeria, not a Buhari who's trying to clear this ASUU mess he inherited from the satanic & demonic PDP |
Re: ASUU Strike: Lady Loses Masters Admission In Cape Town, South Africa by Moukandjo: 11:36pm On Jan 26, 2019 |
oboy81:Don't mind her! She should have voted PDP because ASUU just started striking under APC! Remember there was nothing like ASUU strike under the PDP! |

iGISTMORE:I think I blame this lady for thinking of adding an alleged wicked lecturer as referee. The questions that seeks answers are 1. What has transcript got to do with ASUU instead of ssanu or Nasu? 2. Are there no other lecturers in that school that we will act as referee? 3. Couldn't she sought for lecturers in other schools most it be public university? Please blame yourself not ASUU. You are not the first person to apply for scholarship. You didn't apply wisdom at all probably there was no rapport between you and other lecturers. Acting as a referee is one of the easiest thing many lecturers does. They see as a thing of joy whether they are on strike or not |

Focusmind:Your assertion is absolutely correct about Nigeria lecturers. Virtually all of them except a few are non challant towards their students in many public universities countrywide but the lady in question share in the blame game. Except she comes back to this forum to give a detailed report that transpired between her and her referees, her assertions might not be accepted by many. |

asuustrike1:I was scrolling through to see someone with view as yours, thanks I wasn't disappointed even though it came late. ASUU strike has no effect on her transcript application Acting as a ref means you must have a certain degree of personal relationship which is not just about lecturer/students relationship but more of a mentorship, she could have called the lecturer to fix an appointment so she can get the letter from him, some lecturers even tell you to draft the letter, while they just vet it and sign off on it. The girl never ready for admission in my own view, what if the initial name she submitted die, she no go write the school pleading for replacement 1 Like 1 Share |

iGISTMORE:I understand how painful this can be. Although ASUU have a role to play, but the lecturer that refused giving you the reference letter is the 'heartless one'. For crying out loud, what is there in giving reference to a student. Some of those references are just for formality sake. Some Nigerian lecturers take it as a very big deal, but there are exceptions. A friend contacted his lecturer voa facebook to ask for reference, amd this Prof agreed and did it (despite the guy was not close to him during his student days). All lecturers, captain of industries should emulate this. I won't deny my students references whenever asked. |

asuustrike1:What if she was through with her final defence and submitted all her project hard copies to the department before ASUU Strike. Or dont you know that before your transcript will be ready, there have to be a university senate meeting to approve your results. Who do you think makes up these senate, are they not academic staffs?. |

texazzpete:So we should equally have a 6 month or even a one-year strike under PMB? Was it not why you sought for a change in govt? Mumu
