I'm vehemently anti Buhari. But that wouldn't mean I'm blind to these questions

1) What Exactly is his source of all these wealth?
2a) If legit why didn't he declare?
2b) Can forgetfulness be an excuse when ignorance isn't?
3) If not legit then what a scandal!
4) Doesn't that mean MOST of our top men in Nigeria are secretly filthy rich?
5) SHOULDN'T THERE BE A NATIONWIDE INQUIRY INTO THE ACCOUNTS OF ALLLLL NIGERIAN PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDERS IRRESPECTIVE OF PARTY, TRIBE AND RELIGION?
6) What is wrong with the black man's brain? How could u be so rich and living in a country that is so poor? IS THERE SOMETHING INTRISTICALLY WRONG WITH NIGERIANS?

This has NOTHING to do with politics. Removing Buhari remains a goal.
and you want to remove the man that open your eyes to those CORRUPTION of yesterday, and vote for the man that enrich himself with CORRUPTION of yesterday.

what a paradox human being are you.

The judiciary is an arm of government not an agency of the Federal Government. While the CBN holds his appointment at the pleasure of the President, the CJN does not!

It's called separation of powers, the idea of limited government to prevent abuse of power.

We're talking about abusing due process, not just the type of office involved.

Unfortunately in Nigeria we are usually voting not for the best brain, but the lesser of 2 evils. In our current scenario, as bad as Buhari is, he is probably the lesser of two evils. Or are you saying Atiku is better given what Obasanjo said about him?

This accounts would have been included in this next asset declaration form... besides the federal government can’t have access to his asset declaration form until he gives the permission for them to be released they had wanted to remove this man because of their personal gain... to disrupt the rule of law in the forthcoming election I am even sure most of all the inaugurated judges have been either been alleged of fraud or false asset declaration form so they will dance to the tunes of bubari and the cabals so as not to face prosecution...

Almost everyone on social media voiced former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun into resigning. Some even asked that the President remove her to prove that he's truly fighting corruption. When the brilliant woman saw that she truly erred by submitting a fake NYSC Exemption certificate, she did the honourable thing. She tendered her resignation letter and left. She RESIGNED!
By that time, those of you ethnic jingoists didn't see Kemi as a Southerner. You screamed at her, cyber bullied her and even hurled abuses at her. Now it is the turn of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, who admitted himself that he 'forgot' to declare his domiciliary accounts which was loaded with £23,409, €49,971 and $391,401, including 55 houses undeclared, and by so doing, he breached the Code of Conduct as a Public officer and was suppose to have resigned straightaway if he had any modicum of honour, integrity and shame as the custodian of the Nigerian Law, but he didn't. Instead, he was doing everything to stall his trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. All those times, you didn't call for his resignation the same way you did with Kemi, you didn't bully him to resign the way you bullied Kemi, you were instead urging him to stay on, you were drumming support for him and some of you that were deceiving yourselves with your forming neutrality didn't say anything all this while too, you deliberately turned dumb. When it was first revealed a fortnight ago that the Chief Justice of Nigeria didn't declare his domiciliary accounts with dollars starched in it, all you were vituperating was that the President wanted to remove him because he's a southerner. You acted dumb on the offence he committed. Now that the CJN has been suspended, those of you fake neutralists are now crying foul. You're screaming that democracy is in danger. Can y'all see how nonsensically hypocritical you are? Your hypocrisy is legendary. Your hypocrisy stinks. You shouted and bullied Kemi Adeosun into resignation but aiding Onnoghen who can't explain how he got the foreign currencies starched in his domiciliary accounts which he didn't declare plus 55 houses. A whooping 55 houses.
Instead of the CJN to resign honourably and go clear himself, he was busy running from pillar to post buying injunctions to stop the case against him. Just a couple of days ago, another $630,000 and $800,000 was discovered in his separate domiciliary accounts again. Y'all pretended you didn't see the news, abi? Sensing that he could be suspended by the NJC, the CJN quickly suspend their meeting indefinitely. Why? So that he can stay on. You can imagine!
You asked Kemi to resign but Onnoghen who was selling justice for dollars and deliberately didn't declare those dollars in his domiciliary accounts including 55 houses should stay on, and he should be left alone.
Arrant nonsense.

#saynotocorruption

Let's deal with your first example which is Kemi
Kemi's position as the finance minister is different from the position of the CJN.

While the finance minister can be appointed and fired solely by the President, the position of the CJN cannot. To remove or stop the CJN from acting in his capacity, the president requires a recommendation from 2/3 of the senate or the NJC. Anything short of that is self-help and acting outside the Constitution.

Let me also correct an impression, nobody is saying Onnoghen is right in not declaring his assets. But let the law be used to prosecute him.

To add to the issue of Kemi Adeosun, Do you know there are consequences in the NYSC laws if you forge it's certificate?

But what happened to her? She merely resigned and left the country under the cover of the president.
She wasn't charged as stated in the law.
That is what we call double standard. If Buhari wants to fight corruption, fight it squarely.

Onnoghen is not been tried on a criminal case. No body is disputing how he got monies in his account, if not you would have had EFCC and ICPC gruelling him.

The case is about a mere declaration of asset.

APC and their devilish croonies are trying to turn in around into a criminal case which it isn't.

When in 2015 Osibanjo a mere judge in a,state declared almost $1 million in his bank account, how come nobody questioned how he got them?

The CCT trial is not a corruption trial.

No northern CJN will ever go through this level of humiliation. Never! It would have been settled on Friday inside the Mosque after prayers. More so, the emirs would intervene and crush every dissenting voice within their sphere. This is one thing most Southern muslims and non-muslims do not understand and may never comprehend.

The North is strategic and never tarnish the image of the few brains they have alive. Never! Only the south pounces on the flesh yea demand the blood of their own to drink.

Nigeria will not move forward with sectionalism or nepotism but nepotism/sectionalism practiced across board will bring all to the table of rationality. Some folks will still not get this.

You know if l apprehend a burglar in my house, l then decide to become judge and jury and sentence him to whatever punishment, l have effectively carried out an act of illegality.

The key issue of Justice ⚖ is PROCESS & PROCEDURE
without it you have lawlessness and criminality.

There may indeed be a substantive case against the CJN however without following the laid down legal process anything outside of that process is ILLEGAL.

Our country is corrupt and l actually think that it's very probable that all our supreme Court judges are corrupt. But that is not the issue. But due process is to establish truth and justice.

Two wrongs do not make a right.

Considering the supersonic speed in which a caricature of an order was proported to have been obtained is HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE and completely without merit.

There has been no recourse to the constitutional fundamentals they have been totally circumvented. The president can not appoint a Chief Judge.

We also are moving into tribalistic, religious bigotry and nepotism. The only supreme Court judge to join hands with Tanko in this aberration is also from the North.

Because Buhari has declared Tanko CJN does not make him CJN, only the NJC can do that.

As it stands l can see the NJC suspending Tanko.

We have not also factored in the response of the NA when they reconvene on Tuesday. Or will the DSS lock up the national assembly and arrest the legislators

PMB has opened wide the doors of anarchy , let's see how our democracy will survive.

It is really simple if your money is genuine, you would proudly declare where and how you got it. Perhaps you do not know what his salary from the day he began his practice till date cannot sustain the amounts posted in his account, then as the CJN at this point in time, he is supposed to justify the source of such wealth which he is not ready to do.

Yes, he declared such sums because he could prove where the money came from. He is an international lawyer, a professor and former AG of Lagos and he can justify how he made the money through his law firm, can the CJN who has been a judge justify his source of income?
