'I don't know' - Hudson-Odoi on Chelsea future
Chelsea 3-0 Sheff Wed
Chelsea midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi to BBC Sport: "I thought we did very well. It was a great team performance. We did very well in training and worked really hard.
"That's one of my highlights. It was nice to top it off with a goal."
He's asked if that could be his final game for Chelsea...
"I don't know, I can't say. I'll keep working hard and you never know what will happen

I think this guy is a bit hyped smiley

Some would rather have iniesta in their team than zidane and I happen to be one of them.

Just like you happen to remember the exact speech Guardiola gave in his first press conference for Barca, Mr Barca fan.

Giroud is still useful but how to use him is d coach's problem.... its either he is played as a winger or a support striker.....d idea of having a "striker" is misconstrued...we don't necessarily have to have a striker on d bench as a sub...giroud can play in games involving hazard a higuain...d coach should just know how to tweak his formation to get d best out of giroud...

Some of The biggest “what if” in football

What if John terry scored the penalty against man united in 2008?
What if Messi was sold to Inter Milan in 2006?
What if Sheikh Mansour had bought Liverpool or Newcastle instead of Manchester City?
What if Griezmann had not missed that penalty against Real Madrid in the UCL final?
What if,in 2009,Barcelona had chosen Mourinho to be manager ,instead of Guardiola?
What if Johan Cruyff had never signed for Barcelona?
What if Neymar had stayed at Barcelona?
What if Sir Alex Ferguson was never the manager of Manchester United?
What if Ramos had not injured Mo Salah in UCL final?
What if Gerrard had not slipped against Chelsea during the 2013/14 Premier League season?
What if Diego Simeone had never become Atletico Madrid manager?
What if Ambramovich had never bought Chelsea?
What if Hungary had won in the World Cup final?
What if Bayern Munich had lost to Borussia Dortmund in the 2013 UCL final?
What if Messi had chosen to play for Spain instead?
What if Manchester United had got Guardiola as it's manager instead of José Mourinho?

Add yours

What if United had bought Alan Shearer instead of Ole gunner solskjear. (Solskjear wouldn't have been united manager today and we might not have won the treble).

What if Costinha had not score the last minute winner vs Man united in 2004.(we may not have known Mourinho).

What if iniesta had not scored that goal versus Chelsea or Ovrebo had not bèen partial.

What if that fax machine had not been faulty? And DDG had gone to Real Madrid.

What if Messi had scored that penalty versus Chelsea in 2012 UCL semi-final.

What if Arsene Wenger had not come to Arsenal.

What if United had not signed Eric Cantona

Belgium have always had these MBGN type awards since 19kporodim.

I remember Babayaro winning Belgian Ebony boot award in 1997 - given to best black player in Jupiler league.

I was like what the fück is this?

Thorgan Hazard was also winning best Belgian player in Belgium award while on loan at Zulte Waregen, then I realised they give best Belgian at home award, best Belgian abroad award, as well as their POTY awards etc etc.

Five reasons why Hazard has reached new heights
(FIFA.com) 13 Aug 2018

Hazard earned bronze medal and adidas Silver Ball winner at Russia 2018
Nominated for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2018 award

Five factors behind his evolution on the pitch
Talent can shine through at any age, and where Eden Hazard is concerned it wasted little time before blossoming. First capped by Belgium at 17 and voted the best player in Ligue 1 with Lille while still only 20, the former prodigy has continued to soar ever higher since his dazzling early days.

Famed for his dribbling skills, creative vision and lung-busting runs, Hazard has added a decisive edge to his list of attributes in recent seasons. That all-round ability made the Belgium ace one of the most eagerly anticipated performers at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™, and he did not disappoint.

The Red Devils' captain helped his side clinch a historic third-place finish in Russia, where he also picked up a trio of Budweiser Man of the Match awards. Ten days later, he was nominated as a candidate for The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2018.

Before the three finalists are selected by fans, journalists and national team captains and coaches, FIFA.com explores five of Hazard's most essential qualities. Will they be enough to earn him the trophy next month?

Playing for pleasure
A player's ability to enjoy the game is a key factor in how they perform. That is no easy feat when the stakes are high and expectations even higher, but Hazard has always found joy on the pitch. After a childhood spent perfecting dribbles in his garden, he can still put the pressures of top-level football out of his mind and focus on having fun with the ball, no matter which heavyweight team he is up against.

Constant self-assessment
Identified as a rough diamond while still only 14, Hazard has shown a remarkable capacity to analyse his performances and improve. His rare dips in form are quickly followed by stunning returns to his best, suggesting that his nonchalant air masks a fierce process of self-criticism. As he himself explained after failing to live up to his potential at Brazil 2014, "I think I could have done a lot better in terms of the quality of my play." Four years later, he thrilled crowds in Russia by displaying the full range of his abilities, ending the tournament with the adidas Silver Ball.

Leadership role
The 27-year-old has never been one to hold forth on the pitch. When describing Eden's style of captaincy, his younger brother Thorgan once put it: "He prefers to let his feet do the talking and leave the big speeches to others." Hazard has always been more comfortable leading by example, but he has flourished in the dressing room since being given the Belgium armband. The results have earned widespread praise, not least from coach Roberto Martinez: "He's been a real captain, a leader and someone who is always himself."

Effective, well-timed dribbles
While he may not command the biggest bag of tricks, Hazard has mastered his signature moves. The mazy run that leads nowhere is not in his repertoire. Instead, he has perfected the effective dribble, with one of his favourite ploys being the body feint that flummoxes defenders without the need to touch the ball – and he has a knack for choosing the right moment, an instinct shared by all the greats. Hazard's ability to accelerate and slow down to match the speed of his marker before another burst of pace has left more than one defender in his wake this year.

Maturity and responsibility
Despite his casual demeanour, Hazard is fully aware of people's expectations and the responsibility that comes with that, as he made clear ahead of Russia 2018: "This is where we'll see if I'm a great player and if I can answer the call when needed."

Willian. You Magic. Stepping up to take the penalty duties beautifully (even offered Gonzalo to take it) and the second goal? Fantastic but he made it look so easy.

We care not what haters say, cos all they can do is just hate while we continue to play.

Haters please continue to "jo ko le isho".

If CHO knows what's good for him, he should think more about himself.
