I am a Sales man and I make it as a point of duty to snap with my TECNO phone anytime I visit a a place for the first time.. The pictures below are taken in ABEOKUTA, it covers the Lafewan market, kutor market, the ogun river and some city pictures...

1...this was a favorite as a child. Was supprise to see it sold in the market and guess what I bought the of 300 naira worth of it..
2... A cross section of the Lafewan market
3... A popular sight at the Lafewan market are the hawkers.. They make the market so crowded anyway.
4... Bikes are so common in the city as a means of transportation.

5... This river is so beautiful with plenty stones at the base..
6... Some of the old houses that make the city so beautiful
7...I was particularly intrigued by this building.. So old and eye catchy
8.... One common sight in ABEOKUTA are houses built on rocks.. A city that is built on a rock can't be broken..

8..the kutor modern market is one of the finest I have seen of recent but sadly most of the stalls are unoccupied.. Why?

Nice one. I was at both Kutor and Lafenwa markets over a decade ago. I can't remember which was bigger back then, but one thing I vividly remember was the good time my friends and I had at both markets. Abeokuta is beautiful and tranquil. Did you snap more pictures? If yes, post them all here so that people can appreciate them.

the kutor market is bigger and more modern why the Lafewan market according to someone I briefly interviewed told me it's the oldest market in ABEOKUTA and and where most traditional items are sold. One thing I noticed at Lafewan market is the presence of old people shopping items.... We also have the Adetan market...... I hope to get more pictures wen I visit the next time..

... That the roofs are brown doesn't mean the West is dirty. This is so low of you. But I am sure you have positive reviews of some of the pictures why not talk about it rather than dwelling in negativity. By the way where are u from?

I miss the city....serene and cool, a peaceful place to spend your vacation. Op this is the right spelling of kuto and Adatan.
