So you wanted to show off with mere classmates which everybody has. Classmating is not companionship. I even thought you went on a holiday bragging about 18k ticket. But this is just a secondary school class trip probably paid for or subsidised by the school board.

Only those who hate hearing true facts complain about negativity. I don't have time to be negative.

I heard they're very racist and intolerant of other people especially black people, how come you're so comfortable with them?

Wow...One of my classmates is from Harbin. He invited me over for this Chinese new year, but I won't be able to make it as I plan to visit Macau and Shenzhen. I heard they drink a lot in Harbin because of the cold...lol.

A colleague once cracked a joke that they don't smoke in Harbin because before you light the cigarette, the cold would have put out the lighter.

Chinese people are easy going and friendly (thou not all of them). Just mind your business and you'd be fine. I also noticed they don't talk much except you are friends, and some of them are very shy.

Thanks jare, this is what baffles me most about such events. What is ice? Water! Just water! And they are cashing out on it big time. Imagine making 18k from 300,000 visitors, Jeeez! shocked

Also, do you know that in summer, early enough, they make casts of these castles, pass neon decorative lights through the casts and wait for summer cold, so that snow will fall and form shapes! Diligence makes for progress.

My people my people.

I wish this weather is distributed all around the world. In fact, I love harmattan, winter, snow, and all the cold weather. It is unfortunate some races have taken over the best parts of this planet: Russia, Canada, USA, China, Europe, Australia, etc. They don't have mosquitoes in those places, their citizens enjoy the best temperature in the world and economy. If I must relocate to these countries, it has to be because of their weather. I love cool places.

African sun can fry human brain

That is not true my brother. Do you know we in the tropical areas are actually blessed with warm weather?

People living in iceland pray for warm weather which they experience only 1 month in a year. It snows for 11 month in iceland and when the warm weather manages to reach in July, everyone take a break from work, businesses and school just to enjoy the warm weather. And guess what? This warm weather is just something around 12°c which is a proper cold weather here.

Do you know that in these cold countries, winter gets so bitterly cold sometimes that for weeks there is no form of movement? All the roads are covered with snow, there are snow storms, hence there is no form of movement, flights are cancelled, businesses and schools are closed down. People get frost bites as soon as they go outside their houses.
Woe unto you if you don't have enough food in your house to keep you through the weeks. Thank God for technological advancement today. In those days, these people had to chop enough firewood for them and their cattles before the winter to keep them warm during the winter or they die of cold. They have to gather enough food in their houses for themselves and their animals for the winter or they will starve. That's why the white man has the parable (make hay while the sun shines), cos they can stay for weeks and months without seeing the sun.
That is typically unlike in our part of the world where we can farm every day, go to work and do business every day. For no reason whatsoever do we get trapped in our houses for weeks without being able to come out. We are blessed abeg.

Harbin is the capital of Heilongjiang Provence in Northern China. Popularly called The Ice City. And here, presenting to you pictures of my visit to the city.

The city has the most bitterly cold winters among major Chinese cities having daytime temperature at an average of -15 degress and night time temperature as low as -30 degrees!

people complain during harmattan here in Africa as well, but I have never complained of any cold weather. I go out shirtless during harmattan. Maybe it depends on individual body. But for me, I enjoy coldness more than anything else.

Are you saying that God does not like them?

Lemme flip that sentence for you:
Harbin my Harbin, God loves us, see people living inside Sun.

Does it make sense?
These are people who see wealth in their environment. With all the sun, still no solar energy generation, may God help us. Meanwhile when am I joining you? my first stop will be at the Great Hall of the People.

Wow, you visited harbin city. I always never wanted to see harbin because I felt it was just too cold during winter and spring. I also felt it was a boring city, but i knew i was wrong. I have chilled in Shenyang , Panji and Jinzhou and Beijing which are close to Harbin but not as cold as harbin. Lovely photos u shared. What city do u normaly reside in?
