"Absence of development simply means corruption has taken place" - Olujastro.

My take is that PDP doesn't just represent blatant looting of the national treasury, but also has the best liars in the world.

Peter Obi's lies yesterday night can cure HIV, cancer, in fact it can raise the dead. grin

Lying on national TV without blinking; that PDP paid fully for the railways, airports and all the infrastructure this govt is working hard to fix. That Buhari should come and tell Nigerians what he's done with the N5trillion capital budgets of 3yrs.

Lying on national TV that he never deported AkwaIbomites from Anambra when it's all out there.

Lying on national TV that Buhari promised to make $1 = N1.

Always rushing in to step in for Atiku yesterday so he can lie with big grammar that will cover up for him.

Anyways, Nigerians are wiser now.

It seems in Nigeria we don't understand the order of priority when carrying out projects in Nigeria. What is really going on in that axis that will warrant that project.
what kind of senselessness is this? A rail line connecting itakpe(ore deposits )-ajaokuta(steel company)-warri(port and refinery) , needs more "extraterrestial" priorities other than these.

All you guys anticipate is failure, when that doesn't come and you're shocked by reality, you switch lines to "priority".

Even if the stations ain't ready yet, at least considerable progress had been made in this project and that's enough for me. A rail line linking the south-south and North-central? Buhari's slow but steady rail revolution is commendable and the results will be felt in years to come. Just imagine: A rail line from Itakpe to Ajaokuta to Aladja connects the cities where there are steel deposits and the companies are.... Need I tell u the impact this will have on our economy in the nearest future? What about the Lagos-Ibadan rail? This will lead to fewer trucks moving on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway(that's also been constructed) leading to less time spent while traveling(Increase in productivity) and since rail transport is cheaper than road, a rail line connecting the foremost port city with the hinterland will reduce cost of goods being imported.... IF Atiku's goal is to get Nigeria working, then he needs not bother contesting again cause slowly but steadily, Nigeria is already working
The poster gave an objective view of the railway construction but you are already linking it to politics. Someone pipo sef

Guy e don do !! Even if PDP started it and APC completed or continue with it is it wrong? Is it the party that started the project that matters or the progress of work being done? Why are we so daft as a people? Always arguing over things that are irrelevant. Talk about the progress not who started it.

If you are not an engineer you won't understand what iam about to tell you.ajaokuta was a bad business idea right from conception.steel companies are not planted that way and that is the reason it has not seen the light of the day.it was a scam.

What are you talking about?

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the concept, other than the typical primitive and avaricous nature of the average Nigerian.

There is abundance of raw material, it isn't too far from the sea through which the inputs and products could be shipped.

You don't need to be an engineer to understand, and I daresay, being an engineer doesn't even translate into understanding its viability or lack thereof.

Talk with fact if you want to argue, how many tons of steel or your proposed raw material have been lifted from that site or you first create a transport system when you have not actually carried out your feasibility study on how viable your business will be or you are just zombieing around on a phenomenon you don't understand.
For your information we industrial clusters that needs that infrastructure more.

"Moribundity" must be having a new meaning. Ajaokuta was 98% complete before the Russians left. The only thing needed are external infrastructure or what I'd like to call "add-ons"; that's rail line where this raw materials can be transported from the mines in itakpe to the steel complex and from here to the ports for shipping.

Ore is heavy. It will take 750 trucks to feed the steel plant everyday. Just imagine what that number of trucks on that road everyday would mean.

The port in warri is completed or near completion. In fact, a concession process was achieved on that port last week.

Don't mind that fella.

Should Atiku suggest what is being done right now you would hear him confusing it like someone doing crossover at MFM.

Right now, we aren't even theorizing. We are talking of tangible the eyes can see, but he's quick to poo poo it.

Like that axis has witnessed such development in decades.

They're too hate-filled to identify positive development when they see one. It's no more "gej started it" , it's now a case of "misplaced priority".
