Congrats to all ITA clinchers. A friend of mine got ppr yesterday, he's not on the thread. Please I have a question : is it possible to combine three different NOC, one year for each noc? Secondly trying to create a profile with ielts scores LRSW 6.5, 5.5, 7, 6. Degree: two or more certificates. Age: 25 Spouse ECA: Masters degree with 4 years work experience. What could possibly be the reason for my ineligiblilty status in trying to create Express Entry profile with these details?.

You need a minimum of 6 in all aspects of IELTS

I need help. 3rd IELTS exam, Listening is 7.5

1st 7
2nd 7.5
3rd 7.5

All through BC.

I am not tired, I am just scared. What if I write again and it's 7.5

Useful suggestions are welcome. I tried to identify my gaps after my second attempt. It was in section 3 & 4. I worked on it, but I made two silly mistakes during the exams. I mixed up the numbers and stopped answering questions before the end of the exam. I still cannot explain how that happened.

I have written several exams and I have not repeated any, but IELTS has been a pain.

I have asked my husband to write the exam. If he aces it, he would be the principal applicant. I have done the CRS calculation, it will hover around 442 to 450, depending on his scores. It will take him a month to study for it.

What else do you think I should do?

Have you tried the computer delivered IELTS exam? Thé mode of Delivery may help give a better result. And since its Listening, listen to BBC news, CNN news, any English news Channel. Watch proper English movies without subtitles. Listen and internalise thé news. If possible, listen to the words without looking at thé pictures (The pictures could distract you from listening )

I fully understood how frustrating this could be cox am in same shoes just like you, had 7.5 in 3 attempts with good scores in all other modules, section 3 as you said is the root of evil in my case too, as earlier advised keep practicing and "double" listen when you get to that particular section. Cambridge materials are the best and you can find it all on this site http://practicepteonline.com/cambridge-ielts-1-13-tests/

there are more than enough to help you through it. Am going for my 4th and final attempt and I believe with full confidence that it will come out good Gods grace. dont be scared this phase will pass smiley

Naija matters, it is well. Three suggestions came to my mind:

1) If you are quite young and determined to go to Canada, start with a teaching job( I'm claiming 2years teaching experience, even though I have a masters in engineering)

2) Further your education (maybe PGD or MSC from open university)

3) Register a business name for your graphic design work, and start keeping meticulous records that you'll use as proof later in your EE journey.

PS- my 2cents!

Thank u for your response.
I am 32 going to 33 this 2019. I'm also married with a son. Though my wife is gainfully employed but she doesn't really think of abroad. So I plan to move first.

Lastly, can my elder brother sponsor me? He is a businessman, though not with registered business name but has landed property

You can now give your suggestions with regards the above info.

If you graduated with a Mass Communication degree, then you must have gone for NYSC. Please use your one year NYSC experience as proof of employment.

Many on this thread did and they've got their PPR.

Hello everyone, help needed here Pls.

I have been reading this thread and the one for Australia since December 2018. I found out that most of d success stories come from graduates and professionals.

My question:

What is the best way out for non-graduates and graduates that are not gainfully employed as professionals?

I am a graduate of Mass Communication but work as a Driver. That's what I could settle for since no better employment. I also do graphic designs.

Pls I need any advice/counsel that'll be of help.

Coming back with a story that will make The Professor jealous

To God be the glory for the the great thing He does.
The whole story started early 2017. My work is shift based and tends to be monotonous hence, I tend to join various WhatsApp groups to pass time especially on night shift. I cant even remember how I came to join an Ielts group. All I know is one day, someone dropped the link to the Canada group and I joined not knowing what it was all about. I was just existing till I voiced one out day to ask what the whole thing is about and an angel came into my PC and broke it all down to pieces. God bless you Dami *twales for her*

IELTS: This was the first step I took. I somehow didn’t believe all these was for real but I had cash to spare. I was studying basically to see if I could pass it and then go on to other processes. Went on leave at work, secluded myself in a suburb part of Abeokuta and studied like I was crazy. For upcoming test takers, please avoid naysayers and pessimists who keep ringing failure into your head. It is a difficult exam, no doubt but those wey pass am no get two heads. Stay positive and focused. If you didn’t make it at first, try again but firstly analyze why you didn’t get it and study hard to overcome the difficulty. IELTS really needs practice and study!

ECA: This was the part where I got stuck. I was single then and so evaluated my BSc alone. It was a smooth journey with UI an I was done in record time. I jumped into the pool with a CRS of 438 in the later part of the year. I didn’t bother evaluating my OND as 438 was a great score then….till I jumped into the pool late November and IRCC decided to finish me by having draws of 440+. See me see wahala *lol*. I stalled till I gave up and eventually evaluated my OND. This decision was even more important as I was about getting married and I didn’t want to add wifey later (read scary stories online of how those who did and got delayed). Wifey evaluated her BSc too and gbam, CRS of 447 eventually by July 2018.

Medical: This was the scariest part of the application to me. Something kept telling me I have HIV and I would not pass medical. Omoh, I became a legend on medical inadmissibility. I downloaded so much materials, I can successfully be employed as a Canada Health official. Eventually, I passed. By the way, I work in a food processing company and I do quarterly food handlers test so I should have known I was safe anyway. More so, the new threshold makes it even less complicated for people with health issues

POF: Advice for those who let this pull them back; learn to trust God. He opens doors for those who are hungry enough to continually knock. Getting POF was a miracle for me. I used 25% of pension funds, fixed an amount for six months and added my bank statement. The case review agent eventually added even the money in the account to my POF even though I didn’t list it in my LOE. By the way, an higher exchange rate than I used was employed in calculating my POF so it was way too much than I anticipated. I got to know this because I ordered GCMS note last month

GCMS NOTE: I ordered out of frustration when it seemed nothing was ongoing on my file despite eligibility haven started early October (knew this by calling). Eligibility was still being reviewed even as at last week Monday when I called. Eligibility was passed and security done between then and yesterday when I got ghost update.

Lastly, someone said prayer is useless on this journey. To each nan his own but I know the 21 days prayer and fasting just concluded by the Winners Family gave me strength, hope and made things happen. God indeed works miracles…me wey never even go Ghana before just get access to Canada goodies cheaply like this.

Note to The Professor, abeg na joke say I wan make you jealous oh. I don’t even know how I passed my writing test fah. Mark me well oh, biko.

You've got the whole sponsorship thing wrong, you really need to read page 1. The only way your brother can "sponsor" you is if he's willing to "gift" you the proof of funds required.

Also, you need to convince your wife to start thinking of this as well. How old is she? If she's younger and with up to 3years work experience, she can be the principal applicant as it will help boost your score. In addition , she can contribute to the proof of funds required if your elder bro can't gift the whole amount required. Two heads are better than one.

Pls and pls, read page 1.

Hello everybody,

I have a question about WES verification, is it possible to use WES USA credentials or must I start WES Canada verfification all over again?

Also if I have two degrees, a Bsc and a masters, do I have to evaluate both the degrees or just the most recent one?

Thanks for your assistance

Congratulations. I have passed ielts and ECA is due by 20th of Feb. Please when must POF be in my account and for how long. I am going to be using Gift deed from my sister for 100% POF. Can i enter the pool without POF in my account?

Congrats on your progress. Ideally Your POF should be in your account for at least 6months before submitting your documents.
If using a gift deed, the timing doesnt really count that much (in my opinion). Provided you have the money from a credible source and you can prove it is from a close contact. (Like family members).
Pls refer to page 1. There are better answers to this question there. Good luck with your application.

It MUST be WES Canada; Evaluation for IRCC
2. You should evaluate Masters only to not just save time and cost but to get the maximum points for education

I'm sorry for the long post.
This journey is not easy o, I have been following this thread since when I was in 200 level. I'm currently serving and I read it somewhere that Express Entry is till 2020( even though it might continue with another name and the people targeted might change).
Several ways to boost score has been said on this thread but the best I could go for is the NOUN option. Initially, I thought I would start my Msc in science education( I read zoology and that's the course I think I can go for) this January and would be done by December then I will start ECA during the wait period I would be practicing IELTS by April ECA should be done and will write the English exam.
But my ordeal is, I have gone to different study centers from Mcarthy to Apapa to Abeokuta (within three days) where I was told NYSC discharge certificate is required except the V.I office but can only go for PGD. I accepted since the difference between two or more certificate and masters is 7 points, when I was about to register I was told no network.
I don't even know maybe I should just leave everything till after passing out or I should still push further but I won't be given free time from my PPA.
