Never remove your thermostat. Find out what's causing the engine to overheat and fix it.

I use 3k fuel to make 12k or 13k
babepink:

No aren't. You should have 6k left after fuel deduction.
But to be sincere, you are not using the right tool.

Explain the work of thermostat?

Explaining fully will be too long, since its not the purpose of the thread. But an attempt at summary:

Thermostat ensures an engine reaches optimum operating temperature as soon as possible, irrespective of the ambient temperature. At this optimum temperature, lubrication is at its best.

Engines are not built to run cold, this is the reason why your ECU is programmed to ensure there is high rev of the engine on cold start in the morning. As the temperature increases, the rev comes down.

A cold engine will cause bore wash in the block, not to talk of eventual catalytic converter damage. Yanking thermostats is one of the reasons you hardly find 10 year old engines in good conditions in Nigeria.

Happy new month pilots in the house.
Please I need a candid advice. Is it possible for someone who stay in the East to come to Lagos and start Uber services??
Someone in Lagos already has a car for the stuff, but the driver he's thinking of giving the car to is in the East, will probably relocate to Lagos for the business. The driver doesn't know Lagos terrain and have never done Uber before. Please what's una take on it.
Thanks.

It's absolutely possible but;
Does the driver have where to stay or have money to rent a house in Lagos?
You don't necessarily need to know everywhere in Lagos to start as the App gives you directions. Also, 90% of the riders know where they're going.

It won't be easy, but, it is possible. As someone that has been there, my advice is this;
The owner must be lenient on the driver for a period of 2 months because he will have issues with the police, lastma and agberos which means stories on some days and so he can understand positioning and gain experience. Experience counts especially at the period.

The beautiful part is when he eventually gets it, you will be able to count on his loyalty. His drive will be different.
Cheers grin

I pick rider wey senior me today, I have to escape las las. He's a chief, oba and alafin of Oyo ally. Firstly it was from the moment he entered the car.
Rider: WO! I'm going to ikoyi ( from Berger) and its 1800
Me: Sir, they is no price tag on dis nd I can't say what the end price will be
Rider: I was there yesterday and I paid 1900 or I'll get down
Me: Sir, to avoid issues, may I take you back to pick up location?
Rider: No b going (Throw is staff on front seat) if you do me any jibiti, I'll place curse on you grin
Me: Eyes roll... Sir, you said ikoyi, but on my app is another destination entirely
Rider: its my wife that booked it on her phone, oya! Take my phone and reset it
Me: lord, I've entered it, just grant me journey mercy

While journey is on... "Do you know who I am? I'm so & so, I have a palace of my own, can you drive for me? I'll pay you 35k monthly with a selfcon in my house". I was just praying to end dis trip and eventually price end 2918. Rider: I only have 2000 here, take it and wait for me like 10 mins, once I'm done here you will take me to Ijora. Took the 2k, sir call me when you are done, crack engine and zoom off. Still waiting for his call

Why would any sane person take BRT lane after all the warnings from the government? Fly wey no hear word go follow dead body enter grave. I have no pity for them. Serves them right. I wish the fine was more sef..
Nonsense. Later they will add police and Lastma to problems uber drivers are facing but they are causing themselves the problems. Awon eleribu.

Lol

Sometimes, one has to drive a little distance on the BRT lane to enter the express, especially that Maryland bridge from Ojota

It's just wrong to crucify those drivers, knowing well that our law enforcement agencies can be rogues too.

Fahrenz was too harsh, in my opinion
