2019: S’ East governors shut down markets, rice mill over Atiku’s visitPublished on February 1, 2019 By Godwin Aliuna Governors of the South-East yesterday shut down markets to honour the campaign visit of the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Mr. Peter Obi in the zone. The chairman of the South-East governor’s’ Forum, Chief David Umahi had stated that the governors of the zone were prepared to give the Presidential candidate of PDP full support to ensure his total victory in the February 16 presidential election. He said: “Ebonyi state is PDP. Vote for our presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar; vote for Peter Obi our vice Presidential candidate; vote all the PDP candidates. There is no division in PDP South East. South East is totally PDP. We will organize a total rally for our Presidential candidate”. Atiku is billed to visit Ebonyi and Enugu states for campaign rally, and DAILY POST has gathered both governors Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and David Umahi directed the closure of markets to honour the visit of Atiku in the south-east zone. Markets that were shut down by Umahi include the popular Abakaliki rice mill, Agbakpa main market, Timber shade, mechanic village and many others. It was gathered that his Enugu counterpart has similarly shutdown, Ogbete,New markett, Artisan and Kenyatta markets to honour Atiku Abubakar and his running mate, Peter Obi. An eyewitness who spoke said “I visited Rice mill this morning and it was closed. I also went to Abakpa main market to buy something but shops were under lock and key,” he stated. http://dailypost.ng/2019/02/01/2019-s-east-governors-shut-markets-rice-mill-atikus-visit/ Pictures massive crowd waiting Atiku in Enugu stadium 57 Likes 4 Shares

When this was done in some northern states for buhari, pigs went on rampage. Now, South East governors have taken a cue from that but same pigs who almost took to streets in the case of the two northan states lecturing us how it constitutes economic loss will now sing praises for this move. How pigs survive this self contradictions remains a very big mystery. 68 Likes 11 Shares |

Hmm. So, are the igbos that attended these rallies 'jobless'? Because that is what igbos on this forum have been derisively calling those Northerners and SWesterners that have been attending political rallies. They even said 'igbos don't do/attend rallies'. Ok o. 84 Likes 9 Shares

OP kindly say markets in Enugu were shut down because markets in Onitsha and Anambra were all on full blast doing what they know best, same as those in Imo and Abia states. Stop deceiving people. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Didn't know ibos have such vast amounts of jobless illiterates as well. At least, they made us believe that we see such crowds as we do in the North because of their level of illiteracy and unemployment. They boasted no Ibo man has the time to luck up their shops to go attend any stupid political rally. This is the reason I keep telling these fools here to tone down on their insults to northerners, because more often than not, such insults come back to hunt them. 99% of those we see are amongst those shouting biafra or death. 39 Likes 3 Shares |

Incredible crowd... ! No wonder those clowns above me are crying like baby bush just to feel happy. Some of them will transfer their aggression on Ipob after Buhari must have been defeated so that they can see something that can make them feel relieved and keep them going throughout four years of opposition and beyond.... . . By then they will start telling you there is difference between Igbos and IPOB just to feel happy and avoid depression. A lot of inconsequential analysis will emerge from their enclaves just to remain relevant after 16th FAILbuhari It's a pity 26 Likes 3 Shares |

Honourable Minister of Transport, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi said if Buhari is not returned as President come 2019, Nigeria will move 10years backwards. .... I did the calculation by a count down 10 years from 2019 and got answer of 2009, Then, I quickly checked my diary and discovered that. 10years ago was 2009. ..... • At that time, fuel was N65 per litre., it is N145 now • A gallon of 'TOTAL 5000W' engine oil was N750 then, it is N4800 now • Naira was 150 to $1. • A bag of cement was N900. • Food stuff was so cheap in open market. • A 10kg bag of semovita was N550 then, it is N3100 now • A 50kg bag of Indian Rice was N5700 then, it is N16,000 now • A 10kg bag of Wheatmeal was N350 then, it is N2600 now • N200 would buy enough combination of pepper spices to prepare soup to last for 2weeks then, N200 can only buy 5-balls of tomatoes now • A tin of Peak milk was N50 then, it is N200 now with low and poorer quality • A mudu of beans was N120 then, it is N600 now • We were still using N5 to do shopping • A mudu of garri was =N=12 .... After considering all these i said, APC/Buhari government shall be voted out so we could go 10yrs backwards, its better than now. Pls help to spread the news we must join hands to change this change!!! # ATIKULATE NAIJA# 27 Likes 2 Shares |

WE WARNED those supporting Buhari that it was just a matter of time before the reality facing ordinary Nigerians caught up with them You cannot fight a huge war with blunt weaponry and expired war arsenal. Buhari has so much blood, callousness, deception and incompetence on his hands going into this very important election where Nigerians decide whether the country remains in poverty and disaster or take an aim at rebounding towards prosperity. In just 4 years, Nigeria has faced some of its greatest economic challenges since 1983 all because of one tyrant in Aso Rock. Watch how the economy will rebound again when Atiku becomes president, then you'll tell me if that tyrant in Aso Rock wasn't the one who caused the recession, economic downturn, high job losses, high inflation and poverty on Nigerians. Compare 1983 and 2015, you'll realize a chameleon will always be a chameleon. God Bless NigeriaA Vote for buhari is SATANIC! 12 Likes |
