Same foolish lecturers campaigned for and voted in this brainless man in Aso rock against Jonathan who is one of them and who was set out to reposition the education sector. Who reached agreement to inject money into the system and promptly released the first tranche of the money. The same supposedly learned people chose an illiterate over Jonathan, yet they now expect the illiterate to give what he doesn't have.

Isn't it akin to deliberately subjecting the students to unnecessary delays when ASUU insists on Buhari releasing the money they are asking for knowing fully well that Buhari has little regard for education and will not release the money for them That is one of the reasons why I'm angry with ASUU because I'm sure that even Ogunyemi voted for Buhari.

The students are already suffering. Many who were due for service by January couldn't be mobilized. ASUU doesn't care about the interests of students.

The big men in ASUU don't have their children schooling in public universities. Many of them belong to the top echelon of university managements who embezzle funds meant for revitalizing public universities. They are the ones who go to senate meetings and instigate the strikes so they can get money from government to embezzle, while the others sheepishly follow them.

Government should endeavor to follow up any money they release to ASUU to ensure good accountability.

He was ready to release the subsequent tranches after the 2015 election. He also created the new federal universities and awarded scholarships to train many scholars through TETFUND, PTDF and the rest. That's enough commitment towards education and only someone who understands the importance of education can do that. Buhari isn't doing that and is never going to care much about education because he lacks understanding of the importance of education. ASUU shouldn't expect much from Buhari's government because Buhari and his cabals believe that education doesn't contribute to GDP and so shouldn't be invested in.

Also put into consideration dat there is election at hand, so FG does not have enough fund at hand, due to the election budget and also dont have enough time. But in 2013 there was no special activity taking place in dat year, and the FG also had enough time. Still it took Jonathan 6 good month b4 he could release funds. My brother our strike is not even up to 2 months, not to talk of 6 months. Let the election b over and am sure the govt will focus on ASUU

A government that slashed allocation to education sector to 7.03%? A government that has severally told us that education doesn't contribute to GDP growth? A government that has refused to sponsor our scholars studying abroad thereby leaving them stranded? It is only a tall dream for ASUU to believe that this government is going to give them more money after the election. With so many debts incurred during the election?And having no more fear of election loss?
