Lionel Messi makes history in Barcelona’s draw with Valencia

Barcelona captain, Lionel Messi made history in his side’s 2-2 draw with Valencia in last nights La Liga encounter.

Though Barcelona’s eight game winning league run came to an end, it was another hugely entertaining match at Camp Nou on Saturday night.

Two goals from Lionel Messi ensured Barcelona came from two goals behind to draw 2-2 with Valencia at Camp Nou.

However, Kevin Gameiro and Dani Parejo did score for Valencia.

According to Yetu Game, Messi becomes the third player in the La Liga history to score 50 penalty goals, after Cristiano Ronaldo (61) and Hugo Sanchez (56)

Valencia are one of the few teams to take points off Barca this season after they held them to a 1-1 draw in October, but they had suffered a dreadful start to the season.

Barca pushed and pushed for a winner, yet they had to be careful of Valencia’s sucker punch all the same.

Ivan Rakitic claimed:

“We surely deserved to win, we played a much better game than Valencia,” but a draw was a fair result in a match in which the excitement never stopped.



The result against Valencia means Barcelona are now six points ahead of second-placed Atletico Madrid at the top of the La Liga table.

Barcelona will tackle Atletico Bilbao in their next La Liga fixture. Then all the focus will be on Wednesday’s clasico, the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final which has the potential to be the next thrilling game involving Barcelona.

Egbon i never said Messi or Ronaldo doesn't do all that, and i guess this thread was created because of penalties scored.. And yes the critics are there unless you don't watch football.. And yes we always argue who is the best here with likes or shares if you don't like it go and jump into a lagoon
