@Hotstepper, Good morning! Thanks for the quick response don’t I was considering the stress she’ll pass through alone over there. I’d it in mind to spend 2 weeks during the Easter festive period then come back home. After that I’ll join her a day before her delivery. Because I’ve to resume to work it’s just 2 weeks leave. Can I write that on the self introduction letter ? |

Hotstepper: Not necessarily true. Applications are treated anywhere in the world. From the US, to Canada to London to Kenya etc. Other applications are also treated in Nigeria. 2 Likes |

Do you have Adobe reader? If you don’t try and download phantom foxit. It’s a pdf application. I had similar issues but I ended up using phantom foxit to open and save the form. |

Yes. I got the Visa. 5yrs. But had issues at the Poe. Luck wasn't on my side as d immiga gave me 2wks to leave the country just because I told her I was coming to give birth . After showing her 10kusd and more funds in my debut card. I will explain the details soon. Soo I had to apply for an extension. Waiting on their response. Still in Canada doe |

Nonkala:submit your application online Jeje. Cos the moment U.S gives you that denial (GOD forbid) Canada will do you same. Paper application is done anywhere mostly Nairobi |

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Beautyaddy: 9:13pm On Feb 04, 2019 |
Beedee2016: Huh, I hope you are lucky to get approved. A family friend was also given such very short stay when she got to Canada too. The CBP officer said it was because she did not declare it during her initial visa application that she was coming to give birth in Canada. She tried to apply for extension but was denied along with her visa being cancelled. However, she went on staying behind to have her baby in Canada. |

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Hotstepper(f): 9:16pm On Feb 04, 2019 |
Did she think of what the implication will be for the future to come to canada or even most western countries? any update on her? Beautyaddy: |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Beautyaddy: 9:23pm On Feb 04, 2019 |
Hotstepper: I guess she didn't really care at that moment since she was already in Canada to achieve her aim of having a Canadian citizen child by all means. |

Amen oo.. Tks hotstepper, candybright and others for ur responses. Chatted wt a colleague that had visa earlier and visited Canada last year but was refused recently to. This pple are becoming tougher, they think we want to run ♀️ away from election. I earlier used hotel reservation, she is advising I get a letter of visitation instead. Can it increase ones chances. Thks pple Hot-stepper: |

Well done ladies and gents, so I want to ask. If one gets stamped in for 6 months in US or Canada and leaves after a week and return again within the six months do you get fresh stamps? |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by folmus: 1:24pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
sexyjob: You have exited, you will be stamped in again |

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by DUPSYSPARKLE: 5:21pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Please for those that have successfully gotten their Visa's did you get a validity of biometric mail with an attachment that shows how long your biometric is valid for before getting your visa. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by folmus: 5:41pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
DUPSYSPARKLE: The mail is just to confirm the receipt of your biometric; it has nothing to do with granting visa or denial. Canadian biometric is valid for 10yrs |

Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:08pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Beautyaddy:Chai, this doesn't sound good. I hope that's her last baby cos coming back or going to U.S for another baby may be almost impossible |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:10pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Nonkala:Was your travel date within election period? I don't think it has anything to do with election. If getting a letter, I believe you have to proof the relationship between the person inviting you and yourself and purpose of visit for the letter to hold weight in Vo's eyes |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:11pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Beedee2016:Travel and come back, then travel again when it's time to give birth. You still have plenty time. Cos this pple are not smiling again |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:12pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
Nonkala:that's what most Nigerians will do. |
Re: Giving Birth In Canada by Candybright: 10:15pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
DUPSYSPARKLE:the biometrics letter showing validity is always attached separately whether for approval or refusal. They attach it there as your copy. |
