Tetehjewels: Can you even listen to yourself? How can you give someone 10k and be shouting you took the person out of poverty? Let me even come down to your analysis. As small as these petty traders are, do you know how much they pay to Local Government everyday just to display or sell? With the state of the economy now, what is the worth of 10k? Don't try to justify incompetence or failure. If the government wants to improve the lives of its citizens, they know what to do. NGOs gives out millions of Naira with non or low interest loans or grants to individuals with business ideas. |

sirfemoz: 10k isn't an immediate poverty alleviator. Its a process. The 10k when relayed entitles them to as high as 50k loan. Its an incremental loan with a paypack period of 6 months. What they pay to the local government is daily and their business is also daily thus they do not feel the pinch of those payments to the local government. This 10k is a lot of money to petty traders. The key word here is PETTY. |

This government is super corrupt. Let quickly interpret what osibanjo is saying 2millon people = N20billion 1millionp =N10b 500k people =N5billion 100,000 people = N1billion. So , osibanjo is saying his government has spent 1billion naira on 100,000 traders. This is fraud. Super fraud. |

tesppidd:Baba, you are the extremely daft fool here. A compound dimwit at that. Let me burst ur bubble with dis questions 1. Where are the extremely poor you mentioned found in the society, is it not in the remotest part of the country and where do Osinbajo normally distribute the cash? He does his vote buying business mostly in market places in the name of trade moni. As a professor dat he is, he should have sent out investigative team across the country to collect data of the remotely poor and thereafter carryout the project maturely and not distributing money in market places in the name of empowerment. The stipends they are giving you guys in the name of BMC has beclouded ur sense of reasoning. |

Tetehjewels: 10k is too small, and shouldn't be seen as lifting people out of poverty. Imagine the journey of transforming 10k to 100k by a petty trader will take more than a year. Or may not even be possible at all. Before he comes to national television and talks about it, he should give us the testimony of how 10k changed someone's life from petty trader to big business since this program started like 2years ago. Like I said, if government wants to change the life's of its citizens, the know what to do. Let us all stop celebrating mediocrity. |

Lastanza: Stop calling others names when the real dimwit is you. There is a social welfare package for the extremely poor in Nigeria which the data has been gotten and disbursement has been doing on for about a year now. That is different from this tradermoni meant for the petty traders. And before you say I am a paid buhari guy, first make sure you go for a psychiatric assessment because that claim would be ridiculously stupid and wrong |

tesppidd: You have to be the SI unit for measuring stupidity. The name of the scheme is Tradermoni and not 'the poor people's' money. Now 10k can never lift any trader out of poverty. That is just a poorly thought out scheme by a government filled with deadbrain morons. 1 Like 1 Share |

slimghost: How stupid are you for real? In tonnes or megatons? The loan is not just 10k. 10k is the starting point. When the 10k is paid back within 6 months a higher loan is given of up to 50k for petty traders. You would be daft if you actually assumed the loan is just 10k and that is it. Please go and play with sand if you still reason like a child |

I can authoritatively tell you that less than 5% of those extremely poor people you are talking about benefited from this scheme. Where those people live is not where anyone talk less of a VP will want to voluntarily go. Show me a picture of tradermoni being shared in the deep ghetto and I will vote for his candidate. tesppidd: |
