The guy that made the initial claim was @377. Chucsmoore posted the screenshot

OK. Apologies to him then. But he can't use what was made during the holidays to buttress his point for today's earnings

If I'm to follow your analyiss, it means you do want above 160k every week to earn close to 120k net.

My calculations

If u car consumes low to earn u best of 10k with 2k fuel (ie 32k fuel earns your 160k, right?)
Therefore, 160k - 32k = 128k net

If assume both taxify n uber charge 15% due to the all round 1.1x surge ( commissions of 15% of 160k = 24k)
Therefore, 128k - 24k = 104k net

Now, I'm yet to minus other expenses from the remaining 104k

The the above analysis, it shows that you have to do/earn above 180k gross weekly to net 120k

Else, you will be living in lies and be passing a wrong Info...

Pls correct me if I'm wrong... ( I m so good with valuations and can draw up financial analysis if u want.. lols)
i am waiting for you to analyze the remaining 104k for the week, so that you will calculate yourself and see that anyone on HP left with 104k every week after buying fuel, is on the path to greatness.

Difference between gross and net. Let's stop twisting this thing.

Gross in green - 333,100
Net in orange - 288,895

Hello brother I guess that's where the mix up is. ...don't know about nitigriti but I meant net profit which should exclude your expenses ie fueling, feeding, other expenses I didn't mean net from the app which excludes only the commission/fee.

I meant net profit but you posted net earning (gross profit) which is okay bro. I think we should rest this case as you made ur point clear...you are doing fine..much respeck cool

They are fond of that nonsense. They will even claim it was made fraudulently just so that they can feel good about themselves.

If I have ever used any fraud app, may I never see the end of this year. If on the other hand I have never used any fraudulent app in my life, may my blessings never cease.

Amen.

Blessings never cease bro...I've learnt in life to ask questions where I have lapses and deficiencies..if things are not working for me there r working for someone else so instead of hating just humble up and ask....let's all get this money mate..

haba.

Net earnings is what I have been typing because net profit isn't a constant due to the fact, that different drivers drive different cars with varying fuel consumption rates. Some eat food of 3k daily. Others will recharge their phone with airtime and data of 10k in a week.

Net profit is not a given. What is a given, is net earnings. How you spend the earnings is none of my business

If you see my previous post on this matter i was never of another secondary opinion...iz just the words being mixed up. ..net and gross profits...point is from what he makes the amount can be paid for rentals for any serious driver.

Clearly the mix up is between net/gross profits and net/gross earnings or sales but we no dey economics class and I've gotten the point. Cheers

I know it's not today's job but it's a weekdays job and not weekend...it could have been today's job or any other weekdays job.,I tell you, on that particular day some driver somewhere was saying uber business is dull...on that particular day some uber driver didn't even make 15k..so my point is the fact that I can't do something doesn't make me knock another person's success rather ask questions and be optimistic about people's claims.

Not everybody has time to lie or make up figures...we should be challenged to do better and give people benefit of trust
Maybe you forgot what led to his posting the figure you saw but let me not appear a bad belle I won't reply u again

The comment below caused wahala. They all fail to read what I typed in bold.

It came with conditions. In the end I also noted that not everyone can do this

Fahrenz:
I understand you points.
HP is not for everyone but that doesn't mean it won't work.

No one can drive 730 days without hindrance and when I said 730 days I didn't mean it in a stretch. No one signs a contract that doesn't allow for hindrance. We are humans.

My point is from a positive perspective.

If a Toyota corolla is totally sound, engine, body, gearbox and suspension it is very easy to achieve HP. I gave that guy a number of factors that would make him successful and if he sticks to it, he will be fine.

If you can consistently net 120k in a week and you have a good maintenance habit and saving habit, you don't need two years to complete the hp. You need those factors I mentioned, focus, and commitment.

A tokunbo corolla can go straight 2 months without needing anything more than an oil change. And if he uses the extended performance oil, 3 months before oil change. Let's not talk as if cars break down everyday.

At 120k a week, he owes only 35k.

Do you agree that with the remaining 85k left from that week, it is enough for him to fuel the car, eat, recharge his data and airtime and then save at least 25k weekly?

If a driver on HP can save 25k weekly, by the 12th month, he has saved 1.2m and has paid out almost 1.7m. If he decides to pay 900k to the car owner from his yearly savings, how many months do you think is left for him to complete the balance

Don't forget the month of December.... Don't forget.

I understand that it is impossible to some drivers, but HP is very achievable if all conditions are met, especially focus and determination.

If you make 15k daily on weekdays, and 50k combined on weekends that's already 125k.

Someone like me will dust this HP but I agree that everyone doesn't have, not share my mindset.

Facts only

Fahrenz answered a newbie like it is just easy to net #120,000 every week, for 2 years. The point I was making is he shouldn't portray it as easy as that. Because not everyone, not even us old legs in the game, can do #120,000 net every week for 2 years. He disagreed and I challenged him to show us 8 weeks pere that he has done it. Of course, no show.
I've already done #50,000+ net this week on both Uber and Taxify, and this is not even Friday to Sunday yet. It will not be fair for me, on that basis, to now advice a newbie to take up a #3.5 million hire purchase with a #35,000 payment. I will rather tell him to chill, take up a rental and learn himself in the hustle for a few months; before entering hire purchase. Some newbies will be so tenacious, that from day 1, they are already pros. It happens, but it's rare. I will rather a newbie err on the side of caution. Hire purchase things can easily get you into a police case, if you don't take your time. Those car owners are not smiling at all.

Toh, I don talk my own.

I remember a car dealer, Ajao Estate gate. I met him under circumstances I would rather keep private and I explained the ehailing business to him and how hire purchase works.
Oga carried calculator, did some calculations and offered me a shaprapra direct tokunboh Toyota Corolla 2006 for #3.2 million, hire purchase. Weekly payment of #40,000. He told me the only thing he wants from me is for him to know where I live, that once he visits once, I'm free to come and pick the car.

I ran away from the offer. I no dey take Igbo business man joke. They no dey smile at all when it comes to business. That is why they are successful in the businesses they do

Everything will now be double or even triple depending on how much jaga jaga or line tou draw. Lets now shake this table properly!!

To end this argument, let that 377 guy post a acreenshot of that amount yesterday alone. I will give him 10k and stop posting on this thread!!?

You are a very sad man brother grin...so chucmoore used salt and pepper rite? really if I haven't driven on this platform and offered best of services and haven't met some amazing and respectable drivers both on this platform and in person (irrespective of the ridiculously low fares) while riding, I would say the calibre of people e-hailing in Nigeria contracts is below the minimum co-op and sociable IQ...

You always explaining your failure and wont humble yourself and learn...im really concerned for you brother...I feel like you need love grin and I pray you find it.

I wont condescend to your level to have a conversation with you nor quote you again because you belong in the jungle interacting with animals.

Please sir I don't mean no insult to your good person but im only stating my observations steeped from the fact that you cant carry on a mindful conversation without cursing which is very worrisome.

Hello brother, I beg to differ..my take is this..any driver that is serious minded...honest with himself...and has bills to pay (I means does not have another source of livelihood) can make this work...I drove on this platform after I resigned my appointment with the Bank to set up my business..

Honestly I was comfortable driving because I realise I ALWAYS had money in my pocket..for me the only thing was that I was picking alotta my former customers ;Dey were acting like driving was a curse angry. me I no send dem ooo but driving was not my main source of income. brother if I had nothing else to do and driving was what was paying ALL my bills, I mean my 9-5 den what fahrenz is doing is highly possible..i tell you..ive been there...To be frank, I learnt a lot from dem Ogunvic and romeo3..i admired their work ethics minus the fraudulent activities, does guys motivated me and I knew it was possible.

Like every business, if you dont have good money management and know how to save money, trust me, no matter how much you make you will be broke perpertually..ITS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE...

Let me say this here...i still have my daytime job so uber is a side hustle. However I know I possess a level of intelligence that is higher than the average person out there and I believe I use that to play where driving on Uber is concerned very much to my advantage and not many drivers out there can get to that level no disrespect and probably fahrenz or r.... also possesses same level of IQ or maybe even more and so he utilizes it to earn himself good bucks and this is not salt n pepper things however this does not now mean every other driver can achieve this some can not just meet up no matter how hard they try because that level of reasoning is not just there however there is one key fact in all of this.i have been driving for over 20 years in Lagos and before I started on Uber I would say I had knowledge of roads in Lagos a good 60%-70% But knowing roads and being intelligent all still took a back seat, I still had to understand many things and tricks of the trade meanwhile I was also battling regular weekly Ladipo visits so trust me no newbie should jump into HP e-hailing if they love demself just go looking for rentals and learn the ropes for at least 3-6 months before you then say you want to go the HP route Becos by then you would understand the terrain, even understand your spending habit and savings mindset to know if you can run that race well even more but to be sincere some of these HPs are too expensive, finance houses are still much better.I sold my Peugeot after seeing Hell with it mainly Becos it was bought 2nd new and the previous user apparently had damaged it so much but I love that car so now am also on GO with a corolla and for 6 months ave not had to visit a mechanic other than servicing I can want to look back on the peugeot days as wasted but it was a much needed learning curve now I can afford to save at least 1k daily just to at least have the savings mindset.so please newbies don't go HP...go rental first but people like fahrenz are rare even some oldies can never meet up such targets no matter how much they try exceptvthru dubious means....just my 2kobo

I have one of my neighbor who is into Uber that used to intimidated me with figures then (salt and paper things plus screenshots), he later had an accident after fixing the car he always call me now and then to transfer money for him to complete his weekly remittance.
One would have thought that with such figures he will have a lot of savings, I asked him he said he himself can't even explain what's happening.
One of the things he said was that the money doesn't come once so as a they come u also have small small expenses.
He gave me an instance assuming he make 15k at the end he buy fuel 4k, eat, pay tolls and do other small small expenses u will be left with Oga money for the day. And sometimes he have AC wahala like compressor issues because he actually changed the compressor twice the first one was bought brand new that's like 25k
My point: what I see on my dashboards doesn't always translate to how much cash I have at hand as in my pocket.
Again some of the people that successfully run HP at a point defaulted some didn't even succeed the first time but the experience helped them later.

If you have a sizable responsibility you will know that 120k a week you see on the dashboard (assuming is consecutively) can barely sustain you, only those into the system understands.
That's why some partners who added their driver to their account will be seeing figures and be wondering why the drivers find it difficult to deliver.

I don't just want to talk but if what fahrenz posted here is what he make I make more than him but I am not here to measure prick.

this is not a curse, but your neighbor can not be successful in the business because he's a dishonest man. Dishonesty and greed are of no worth or value. Its like a basket by the river side, you see it's wet , but it will never retain water. I just started last week, and honestly,I've not been making much, the car is due for service, and I'm broke, but I'm learning from every shortfall. I didn't allow my situation lead me to temptation, because I know good times are ahead, Insha Allah.
