well other african may have a good start, but South Africa had settled dutch and british emigrants which doesn't happen in many african state. .This meant it wasnt looked down upon and discriminated against by the west as much as the other african countries were. there was good inter trade balance that all other african country doesn't enjoy.

South Africa had also had a more settled and stable government than any other African nation, things could have gone out of hand in 1991-92 but due to Mandela, nothing of that sort happened. He wanted a inclusive society of both europeans and native africans, he understood thats the only way to ensure stability and growth, by not going for revenge, he ended up ensuring that his country becomes a model for others. The bolded is not true. Only South Africans will understand though. It was far from being "settled & stable". Mandela's government also inherited a lot of...for a lot of better words...mess. In contrary to popular beliefs, the Apartheid government didn't hand over to us a functioning country on a silver platter. We had to build relationships with other countries, to get things to where they are. Remember that the country was shunned by the outside world. We had sanctions & bans. We're where we are today because we worked to get where we are.

Arba Minch is also one of the safest cities in here. There are resorts and lodges constructed around there which creates amazing view. There is a famous park named nech sar, located there.
