By calculations made by a trusted and independent media company, Cyril Ramaphosa has achieved 17 of the 26 key promises he made last February when he was inaugurated. He has failed at four items and his progress on five items is questionable. Daily Maverick has given the SA president a B+ for trying to deliver on his promises to kick-start Africa's most advanced economy. Ramaphosa’s state of the nation address on Valentine’s Day in 2018 was focused on two things: the political economy and corruption. He inherited an economy in distress and a country on the edge of an investment ratings downgrade. Corruption was so endemic during the Jacob Zuma years that South Africans had a new term to add to their lexicon: State Capture. A year later, South Africa has staved off a downgrade, but the economy has not been steered sufficiently far from the fiscal cliff. His achievements: 1. Prevent an investment downgrade. 2. Convene investment summit (over $50BLN pledged) 3. Convene a jobs summit. 4. Make youth main focus of economy. 5. Small business fund. 6. Expropriation of land without compensation. 7. Continental Free Trade Agreement. 8. National Minimum Wage (R3 500 / N94 500). 9. Presidential Economic Advisory Panel. 10. Complete schools' infrastructure projects. 11. Problem-free social grants delivery to the poor. 12. Stabilise state-owned enterprises. 13. Establish commissions to probe corruption. 14. Appoint credible National Prosecutor. 15. Protect and strengthen Tax Revenue Service. 16. "Send Me" moral regeneration programme. President Cyril Ramaphosa will deliver his 2nd State of the Nation Address on 07 February 2019, ahead of the May presidential elections in South Africa. 8 Likes 3 Shares

Jubril THE IMPOSTER MUST BE CHASED BACK TO SUDAN.Daily Mirror, a UK Daily revealed that Buhari having numerous Bank Accounts in UK where £250,000 grants are paid to him and his children's school fees are paid in various UK Universities. These are undeclared assets. Yet All we knew was that Buhari has 150 cows, a brick house and a mud house. Yet there are no calls for buhari's resignation and buhari says he is fighting corruption. * Show me the asset declaration of 2015 of Buhari stating the Buhari had $157,000usd which his son used to buy power bike? All we knew was that Buhari has 150 cows, a brick house and a mud house. Yet there are no calls for buhari to resign and buhari says he is fighting corruption. * Show me the asset declaration of 2015 showing that Buhari had N2.5billion naira which his wife Aisha had claimed that her Adc has stolen. All we knew was that Buhari has 150 cows, a brick house and a mud house. Yet there are no calls for Buhari to resign and Buhari is still fighting corruption.MR INTEGRITY... * 15 SANs Defended BUHARI On A Certificate He NEVER Had and There was no call for Buhari to Resign. Yet Buhari is fighting corruption! * Buhari has forged WAEC certificate on 2 different occasions; in 2015 and 2018, and there are no calls for buhari's resignation. Yet buhari says he is fighting corruption. Is forgery not a crime? Is forgery not corruption? Why are there no calls for buhari's resignation? * Buhari lied under Oath that his Certificate was with Military Board, which the Military denied and There was no call for Buhari to Resign and Buhari says he is fighting corruption. * Buhari claimed to have sat for the Cambridge Syndicate Exams in 1961 and in 2018 Buhari turned round to Present an Attestation certificate for another Exam body WAEC that has no relationship with Cambridge. Yet no one called for Buhari to Resign and Buhari says he is fighting corruption. * Till this day Buhari has Presented NO WAEC Certificate to INEC, even after receiving an Attestation, and his supporters find nothing wrong with that or .......the Mobs calling for CJN’s resignation. ....and Buhari says he is fighting cortuption. 9 Likes 1 Share |

SensorVee: Look at his actions instead. The article says he was the favourite of the great Madiba... He is proving himself. Africa needs a leading President right now and I think Mr Ramaphosa just may be the answer.. but his got competitions from that young fellow in Ethiopia and Kagama. Nigeria is currently leaderless and the elections won't bring any change. 2 Likes |

SillySeason: Kagame's got dark skeletons in his closet though. Can't tell my kids to look up to him. As a South African we have experienced first-hand the death squads he has in SA to take out his critics who've run away from home. Right now relations are tense between our two countries . |

I think expropriation of land without compensation is AMORAL. There's a better way to achieve equity in land ownership without sowing another generational seed of enmity and bitterness into the future. #NotGood. SalamRushdie: |
