It didnt go down well at the Apc Ogun state presidential campaign rally as party members were protesting and interupting proceedings at the event.

All efforts by the Governor of the state to appeal for normalcy proved abortive.The Governor while appealing to the crowd had to beg them not to disgrace him as the father of the nation is there watching them.

It took the intervention of the vice president to calm down the situation as even Adams Oshiomole could not salvage the situation.

The president had to be shielded by his body guards as he was almost stoned by aggrieved party members when he lifted the hands of the Governorship aspirant for endorsement.

I guess we will have to wait till March 4th to confirm. What I know for a fact is that Ogun central votes will be split 3 ways, between Dapo and Akinlade and GNI. I'm very sure that not everybody that will vote APC for Presidential will all of a sudden vote APM, especially at Ifo where there is dissatisfaction with Amosun and then the border towns with Lagos where the Lagos APC bangwagon effect will spill over.

As for Ogun west, it has always been a minority and it wont change this time, just 4 local governments. This is between Akinlade and GNI but dapo will scrape some here too especially at Ota and all the other Lagos bordering towns.

Ogun East, it's Dapo and Kashamu here. It is close no doubt, but for GNI I can't see the structure nor the money.

It will be close no doubt but Dapo has the edge because of federal might and the current APC structure with the voters.

Amosuns choice was not accepted by APC national leaders led by Oshiomole so Amosun floated a new party to promote his choice while remaining in APC to run for senatoral seat. The APM supporters were not happy that Buhari raised the hand of the APC candidate and wanted to stone Abiodun.


It's good to be enlightened before typing or forming an opinion.

Amosun is just stubborn and believes he's God in Ogun state. Allowed the thugs to come just to smite the national leaders while still pledging loyalty to Buhari.

Dapo will win. He has an edge, although I concede it's tight but he will win. Trust me, IFO, OTA and Abeokuta will not vote APC for presidential and then everyone now change to APM for gubernatorial. Especially the places near Lagos. I know that is Amosuns game plan but it will fail. As for Ogun East Dapo will compete strongly there and it will be split in Ogun west. Even Central sef will be split buy we will see how it will play out

Ifo, sango, akute, ojodu and all those very populous environ close to lagos will vote for anything not Amosun, dem hate the man well well. Amosun really dealt with them with bad governance in that axis. Payback time for him is around the corner.
