Juventus have announced the signature of Aaron Ramsey on a 4-year deal worth 400k/week. The transfer will take effect on July 1st when the summer window officially opens. I am very happy Ramsey got paid.

Good luck Ramsey!

I'm happy for him, too. Although Arsenal did not reward his loyalty, God has rewarded him with a fat pay check (among the top 10 highest paid players in the world). And, from next season baba will start winning league titles and have a shot at wining the Champions league.

If not for his injuries and inconsistencies, he would have been a very, very good player. But, on a personal note, I won a bet with my dad. I told him Ramsey will turn out to be the better player, between Jack and Rambo. Good luck, Ramsey. You'll always be remembered as the man who ended how trophy drought.

On the contrary, I think he shortchanged Arsenal.
This is a player that is always perpetually injured and on treatment table, yet Arsenal kept patience with him.
He came back from injuries and was crappy, needing few games to regain sharpness, only to get injured again once he was hitting form. A very inconsistent player, yet we kept faith in him. Now because of Gazidis and Wenger stupidity, we are losing a player we spent years developing for free. The club will get nothing to reinvest in his replacement. Look at how much Liverpool got from Sterling,Suarez and Coutinho sales. And look at how much we are getting from selling our own best players, and you see why we declined and could no longer afford to compete in the transfer market for top talents.

Ramsey is a greedy SOF, I don't blame him though, I blame Wenger and Gazidis for allowing him run down his contract, when we could have sold him seasons ago and reinvest the funds, when he started stalling on his contract renewal.

If you don't know, know it now. Ramsey is only getting that much in weekly wages because Arsenal will get nothing for his transfer to Juventus, it was same for Sanchez. They purposely stalled contract negotiations with Arsenal by requesting for wages they know the club cannot afford, so that they could run down their contract, leave on free, and get fat wages in new clubs who would simply use the money they could have paid Arsenal in transfer fees to reward them with fat wages.

Ramsey put his own greed ahead of the club survival, and Gazidis/Wenger indulged him. I remember that Suarez had to renew his contract with Liverpool before they sold him, so that Liverpool could get so much from his transfer to buy a replacement, the same thing was applicable to Coutinho.
Ramsey shortchanged Arsenal.

I agree with you 100% on this. Wenger did us bad. He nurtured this guy and gave him too many chances which we never get chance to recoup fully. I don't know why Wenger did that when he never gave some real talented players like Lukas podolski, Joel Campbell etc enough chance to prove themselves.

Though Ramsey was instrumental to our FA cup triumph against hull city in the final like MrDojo pointed out, however he did that with good players like Santi Carzola.

I doubt we would be able to get a top talent to replace him. Not with the rumoured 45m transfer budget, and with little coming in from sales of players, since again and stupidly, we are having Welbeck, Ramsey walk fee with no money whatsoever recouped from them to fund our transfers.
It's so easy to blame Kroenke stingy ways for Arsenal current woes, but Wenger and Gazidis were the chief culprits. Arsenal has been very poorly managed both on and off the pitch by both men. Wenger insistence on egalitarian wage structure meant that we have our fringe players on Big wages , which makes it hard to sell them to smaller clubs and recoup funds to finance transfers, for example, we couldn't sell Jenkinson because Wenger placed on too high a salary that other smaller clubs where he should be playing at, can not afford his bills, so the player insists on running down his contract At Arsenal, rather than take a pay cut and move to smaller teams.
When we point out the fact that Arsenal is currently suffering from Wenger and Gazidis mismanagement both off and on pitch, his fans say we are being senseless for stil trying to hold a man who is no longer here culpable for our current woes. But the truth is that he is. And it will take quite some time, before we sorted out Wenger and Gazidis mess.

45m? David (ornstein from BBC) said it was around 100m or slightly over a 100m. The guy is the surest reporter with regards to Arsenal news, because (I think) the club literally feeds him the news. The man has never been wrong on Arsenal related news.

And, yes, I support you points. Arsenal has really been mismanaged on and off the pitch. We have lost millions of £££ in free transfers. Where those players greedy? Probably, but as a club, Arsenal should have forced them out while they had one or two years left. It's either you sign or you get out.

Arsenal allowed the players to hold them to ransom. In most big clubs, if their players are misbehaving and don't want to sign a new contract, they bench the player ( so that he'll rot) or force him out of the Club.

Look at Solanke that came free from Chelsea, how many matches did he play for Liverpool that he was sold for £20m+. Benteke sold for over £30m and sahko, too, was sold for over £20m (not too sure about this one).

We might not necessarily go for a big name to replace Rambo, we can try to unearth some gems. What do we have scouts for, if they can't do their job.

I'm just praying that the new set of players, will not be the typical injury-prone Wenger type of signings. Look at Guen, Lucas, Leno, even baba Lich, how many times have they gotten injured.

The only person that gotten injured among them is Papa, three or four times, but the rest have been almost injury free for months. Especially, Lucas who takes and dishes tough tackles each match.

i disagree with some of your points,i thought that ramsey had agreed a contract extention of 200K per week that the club decided not to go on with.if the club did not pull the contract off the table and he refused to sign, then what you are saying would have been all true.

Ramsey didn't agree on any deal with Arsenal.
Arsenal put out a deal rumoured to be worth around 180k per week for Ramsey, but for months Ramsey and his greedy agent refused to put pen to paper. Even naming Ramsey as co captain wasn't enough to make Ramsey change his mind. Emery and the club finally got tired of waiting for Ramsey to renew after months of waiting and withdrew the deal.

Ofcourse, Ramsey and his agent were more than happy with that development, as that was their play from the very beginning, they learnt their ropes from Sanchez and Ozil.

Absolute rubbish. In fact it was Arsenal who shortchanged Ramsey with fans' bad mouth and lack of technical insight. We couldn't good in q talented young man. Some bashed Wenger for sticking with him. Now he is getting rewarded, he will play CL football, and win league titles.

No disrespect to Ramsey, but, you can't say he is a world class player or one step away from a world class player.

The 400k does not change that fact. Sanchez, Oscar, Pellets etc are also receiving stupid salaries, are they worth those salaries? undecided undecided maybe to you they are, but to millions of people, definitely not!

Still, it does not change the fact that they will be smiling home. And, yes, I believe that if Ramsey had not suffered the horrific leg break at Stoke, he would have been a very wonderful player now. Is there a way for me to prove this? Nope! At the same time, you have no way of proving that my conjuncture is false, too!

Safe to say that United will crumble from here onwards, their illusions are over, they will now have to face reality.
Chelsea will take care of business next week end, then Liverpool will take over from there, this one nah serious gang raping, by the time it's over, deluded United fans will start crying for Pochetino to come to their rescue again. cool
