Yes,so much more has happened. If we achieve our Medium Term Plan 2018-2022(MTP 2018-2022)....We would be at good places. We just need to actualize like 80% of this and boom the whole country will break into a song and dance! It's doable with the right people and passion!

Yea, we're doing fairly well if you check the current status and treand...esp on the two education and electricity supply, Nigeria is going the opposite direction

Precisely - and that is why PPP is never used for comparing countries - but mostly for internal analysis - like poverty assessment. PPP doesn't take into account taxes, quality of goods & services, transport cost and etc. A haircut in Newyork is not the same haircut in DarSlums.
how's a haircut in NY different from the one in Dar? undecided

Are barbers n clippers in those countries different?

I love how we are investing billions in education. We've heard a 138 % increase in the number of TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training)admissions. We are investing in humans, which is very key. Healthcare is another sector that we are trying. In Africa's HDI ranking,we are at position four,we can only get better!

Below is an excerpt from our budget policy statement 2019 (BPS 2019)

Many pictures are being shared by people on the internet. (in relation to Nigeria election) and it looks like the candidates are pushing way much. Were they holding rice or something? I just didn't get why they did that? I am so lost
Most Nigerian politicians are neither creative nor ingenious. Because they are not imaginative, there is no originality of thought, which explains why they are very predictable. same process of campaigning every four-four year. dashing free rice, spreading money recklessly just to woo voters.

Speaking of rulers, I haven't heard any about your government. I think it's democratic. But as government, what do you think your ruler better acheive or improve in Ghana??
Ghana power rested in its democratic governance. Most African countries seek for Ghanaian election observers during their elections. And the electoral commission of Ghana is probably the most powerful election body in Africa. i still believe much works are still needed to make it at per with first class world. .

Ghana still face the same problem that all africans country face, unemployment, healthcare system , inequalities etc. i believe goverment should focus more on this though she has provem to be better than some of her peers in her region.

@XhosaNostra, I was thinking of asking you about South Africa. I have been sharing you Infos about Ethiopia but I want to know things about South Africa in return. . .

Mention things that you think foreigners find very surprising in South Africa. . .

And another one question I have, Ramaphosa has expressed his plans to imprison corruptive people and Jacob Zuma is assumed by many to be corruptive. . .You think Zuma will be imprisoned? What type of mab do you think Jacob Zuma is in your perspective and what has Zuma hasn't acheived being expected?

Thanks

Honestly, I don't know how to answer these questions. All I can say is, what's reported in the media about South Africa is a bit exaggerated. Don't believe everything you read. With that said, I think the one thing that will surprise most is, most South Africans are quite welcoming & friendly. We call every foreigner in the country, "My friend". You're 1st perceived as a friend until proven otherwise. Most of us aren't Pan-Africanists though. Being black doesn't automatically make us "brothers". We're very much into having our own identity, separate from the rest. Our history, being separated from the rest of Africa for most of our lives, shaped that mentality, I believe.

As for Zuma, personally, I never liked the man. What his fate will be, only time will tell. I'll leave the judgment & sentencing to the powers that be. I do hope he gets to spend time in jail though. That is my personal opinion.

When is Nigeria's election?

I saw Buhari last time on TV with the vice holding something that looks like a food or I don't know. Tell me how it is going and why I saw his party name on rice package
Lol well, that's the way some Politics play thier roll in Nigeria. They give people bag of rice with some cheap cheap money to sell their vote's. I think that's what buhari is doing. But unfortunately Nigerians are now wise.

The election is on 16 of this month.

You couldn't put it better than this!

Precisely - and that is why PPP is never used for comparing countries - but mostly for internal analysis - like poverty assessment. PPP doesn't take into account taxes, quality of goods & services, transport cost and etc. A haircut in Newyork is not the same haircut in DarSlums. In fact the higher the difference btw nominal GDP and the PPP - the more poverty in that country. You can see such in Tazania & Nigeria. More poverty Low income & wages - leading to cheaper goods and services - but eventually as they grow richer - their PPP & nominal GDP difference will disappear.

PPP are never intended to compare countries - they are misleading because don't reflect the actual conditions of countries. And therefore nominal GPD (in USD) is what counts.

Ghana is being low key now. I don't remember the last time i saw Ghana on news. It is actually good beacuse majority of the news reported from Africa is about terrosist attacks and similar to that.
