I have spoken to them on phone and they are trying to intimidate me which I'm not shaken in the least.... I have told my brother to follow them to their station, and I've repeatedly asked for their station which they have refused to tell me....

Why did your brother not ask you to come along with receipt of both the laptop and iPhone so that you can avoid giving them bribe!Wire the money to them instead of cash and also try to take pictures of the policemen.

similar scenario occurred in Uyo .there brought a guy in hand cuff,the guy in cuffs pointed at one guy selling used phone and he was arrested claiming he sold stolen phone to the guy in cuffs whereas they never meet before .las las after much argument he had to drop 10k.
