AQUAMAN 2 OFFICIALLY IN DEVELOPMENT

The sequel to DC's Aquaman is officially in development at Warner Bros.


As reported by THR, Aquaman's sequel will be written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who co-wrote the original film.
James Wan, who directed the first movie that has earned over $1 billion worldwide, is in negotiations to return as producer alongside Peter Safran, but it is unknown if he will also return as director.

In our review of Aquaman, which was the first DC film to pass the $1 billion mark since 2012's The Dark Knight Rises, we said it "is one hell of a popcorn movie – a fun time and a big bet for the DC movie universe that pays off in creating an exciting new realm for future installments to hopefully explore further."

Those future installments are indeed on their way, with this sequel and the additional news that a spinoff film about the Trench is also in the works.

Aquaman will be released digitally and on Blu-Ray/4K on March 5 and March 26, respectively, and if you are just now seeing the film for the first time, be sure to check out our breakdown of the end credits scene.

Not much is known about series. Even its premiere date hasn't been revealed. it seems like the series will be more like a sequel as it is set 30 years after the events of the Watchmen comics.
the teaser showed an old Ozymandias(Jeremy Irons), some new/wannabe Rorschach and unknown masked policemen..

Even the critics are loving the show.

Who says DC can't produce a much more grounded series than the usual stuff we see on CW.

Swamp Thing TV series will also start this year from DC streaming service and James Wan served as a producer on the show..... I can't wait.

This year is looking good.
