Nice work bro. When I commenced reading this story I was getting bored at first due to the frequent sexcapades by Daurous but along the line there was a twist to the story and I couldn't stop reading.

From the last episode its safe to say Darous got what he deserved but then if Karma would be fair, it ought to pay a visit to Chioma and Nike since they are not saints.

Nike loves her sister quite alright but in my opinion her hatred for Darous is based on the fact that he chose her sister over her despite having sex with him like wise Chioma. They are both scorned women and would do anything to get back at him.

However, if not for unlawful possession of a gun and actually releasing a bullet, I think Darous might have a chance in Court as regards his properties which Joke fraudulently acquired. But then I may be wrong ...

Joke's action was foolish. She didn't consider her brothers future. She might live to regret her actions.

The old man raised up his face, visibly written on it was the expression of total sadness.

Telling us about his past has evidently seen on his once youthful face is something emotionally demanding.
We couldn't help but feel sorry for the old man.

The old man heaved a deep sigh and rested his back on the white sofa he was sitting on.

He focused his moody gaze at the white p.o.p ceiling of his living room.

Even though he tried very hard to fight off the tears that were warming up in his eyes, but unfortunately for him, his emotions got the better part of him and the tears started running freely down his wrinkled cheeks.

The lively face he had on before he began the lenghty narration some hours ago was now covered in tears.

About fifteen of us were sitting around him in the big room. A cursory glance across our youthful faces is enough to tell you that we were fully engrossed in our respective thoughts.

The long narrative by the old man have gotten our young brains into deep thinking.

I on my own couldn't help but feel very sad at how the story of the old man had ended. Even as a self acclaimed rugged guy, my eyes wasn't rugged enough to control the emotional tears that was trickling down my face.


Charles, a 22years old grandson of the man was the first to speak up.
"but grandpa Darous, this isn't fair.. " The young boy ranted out his frustration.


It was as if others were waiting for someone to talk first, everyone started murmuring out their frustration at how the old man's story ended.

The man waited for the noise to die down a bit before taking a deep breath and began to talk in his relatively calm voice.

He shifted his now composed gaze at his grandson.
"Charles, this life doesn't have any specific complexion. Its neither fair nor dark. Its just what it is. What happened to me was unfortunate, But fate and destiny doesn't know that. All they are after is to make sure I pay for my sins. Whether it's done in a just way or unscrupulously like you've all claimed is none of their business."

"Hmmmmmm... " Mabel, one of the girls sitting beside me released that disappointing tone. "Sir, but what later happen to you sir?"

"I didn't get you Mabel." The old man said with a squinted look at Mabel.

"I mean, how did you got out of the prison? " Mabel reiterated explicitly.

She had barely finished her questionic statement when Adesina popped up another question.

"And what happened to that bitch called Chioma?"

"And Joke too. I don't even know maybe to hate her or like her anymore..?" Abosede stated.

"Me self... She's too stupid for letting Nike manipulate her feelings for you sir." Thelayi, who is a course mate of Charles at Unilorin lamented in a very sad tone.


A lot of questions started popping up. The old man took his time to listen to all of them before he eventually spoke after some minutes.

"I like your curiosity my children." He paused to scrutinize the atmosphere. "But before I answer your questions, I'll first like to..... " He paused and directed his gaze to my face. "TBM..... "He called out to me.

"Hun-hun.." I cleared my grumpy throat before answering the man. "Yes grandpa... "

"I can see you have been busy with your phone since I started telling you my story, what have you been doing?" He inquired in a tone that was at a right angle triangle to calmi-ness.

"Sir, am not doing anything bad ooo... "

"I didn't say that... " He affirmed. "I just want to know if you have been listening to me or not. Because it was you that requested that I tell you and your friends here about my life's experience , so it would be disappointing to me if you have not been listening at all..."

I took in a deeper breath and rose up. I maneuvered my way out of the grid locks of legs sitting on the floor to where the old man was sitting down.

I got to his front and showed the screen of my phone to him.

"What is this?" He queried in a virtually confused tone after staring at my phone for a brief while.

"Grandpa, that is a site called nairaland. I have been feeding the millions of literature readers on that site with everything you've been telling me sir...."

"Really? " The old man gasped in surprise and utter amazement.


At the sound of his gaspi-nation, every other being in the room abandoned their respective seats and quickly gathered around me to see the reason behind the gasping-ment of the old man.

They saw for their selves, how the story of the old man has pulled a large number of viewers.

I started showing them everything right from the first page till the last page.

"Here also is my Facebook page" I opened a new tab on my newly purchased Camon eleven and showed them my Facebook page. Darousmart Library. They we're so pleased with what I have done with the old man's true life story.

"You can see that I've been listening to you sir..."

"And very attentively too." Grandpa Darous added with a satisfactory grin.

"But they seemed very disappointed with how the story has ended na...?" Rasheed Akeusola, a friend of mine expressed.

"Yes Rasheed, they are even begging me to make a twist to the story. They want to know what happened to a lot of people in that story."

"But only grandpa can do justice to that.." Charles declared.

We all nodded our heads affirmatively and focused our attentions at the old man's face.

There was silence in the room for more than three minutes before Mabel decided to break it.
She held the old man's hand and started running her soft fingers through it.
"Grandpa, tell us na.. Pleaseeeee" She emphasised in a pleading tone and we all chorused the same thing along with her.

The old man displayed a funny look before he eventually smiled.

"Who told you the story has ended anyways? " He asked us and we we're all very stunned by his words.

"I don't remember telling any of you that the story has ended."

"Wow!!!!!!! " We all screamed louder in a delightful tone.

"Thank you grandpa!!!! " Grace shouted and engaged the man in a comfy embrace.

"Its nothing... But know this, I'm not telling you all these so that you can be a victim, but rather, I'm telling you so you can learn from it. Especially you TBM" He fired strongly at me.

"Me? Why me sir? " I asked with a surprised look.

"Yes, with that kind of face and attitude? I can see my past in everything you are doing right now... Watch your steps now before you invite another Chioma into your life."

Those words sank into my brain like the titanic into the ocean. But before I could further deliberate on it, the old man's voice cut into my mind again.

"Alright children, have your seats and let me tell you of how my tribulations ushered me into being a DOG ATTENDANT." He ended conclusively and we all scampered to our seats.

"Hun-hun" Grandpa Darous cleared his throat and began. "Here is my story of how I become the dog attendant... . "
