Hi everyone,

I appreciate everyone for a wonderful job done here, taking out time to share this great information. I am currently getting my documents ready for Engineers Australia and I want to ask some questions:

1. have 3 years’ experience as a structural engineer in a company that paid me in cash (no pension, no tax) and one of my career episode is based a project I did while I was in this company. I spoke with my direct supervisor and he said he is willing to give me a reference letter to include all the details required by Engineer Australia. Will this reference letter be sufficient as proof of my employment?

2. I presently work as a Civil/Structural Designer and I would like to be assessed as a professional Structural Engineer. Can I include this present position in my CV?

Note:
a.) The job description is different from that of a structural Engineer but somehow related.
b.) None of my Career Episode is based on my present job.

I will appreciate your response. Thanks all

Can you explain this process.

Am lost on your statement.

sandyfel:

I used just my spouse's certificate, transcripts and proof of English letter for my own visa. Didn't need any test result

You will need tax receipts or certificate, reference letter alone not enough.
A structural designer is also an engineer, plus it’s an episode to you been an engineer. Even siwes experience is highly welcomed as long as it proves engineering abilities

Your assessing body is APS, click here for the process.

Which school and the duration of your husband's course, maybe he can also assess as a psychologist. Check the APS requirements. Or what does he do as an admin officer maybe another job could be proposed.

You need to satisfy some requirements for you to claim experience as a psychologist, click here for the minimum requirement.

If you can get the spousal point, I think you should be fine with 70 points as psychologist are not that competitive.

Best of luck.

Zany.

Can you please help me out with the steps I am to take regarding migration to Australia for skilled persons?
I possess a first degree in Counselling Psychology and also a Masters in Psychology too.
What exams and tests do I need to take?
I am single also, would that be an advantage or disadvantage?
Thanks

Yes you will if you go through the thread and read up on the various steps and requirements, also go through vetasses website (which is your assessing body) and check the requirements for assessing as an agricultural scientist. Then while assessing you can prepare and rewrite your English for a better score.
Good luck.t

You can get your supervisor to write a reference letter on a plain paper for you. That should be fine

Good evening everyone,

so my partner and myself have been on the canada journey for a while but finally realized it's not for us, since we both don't have masters. we did our assessment with both EA and Vetassess and came out positive. Bellow is our point

1. Age-30
2. Experience -10
3. Education - 15
4. English test - 10
5. Spouse Experience - 5

I will want to know if we are fine for the 189 visa class or we need to take the English test and target 20 point which proves very difficult for us.

Oga Bellong and other oga's in the house kindly out. Thanks

Why Tasmania?

NSW and ACT sponsor the occupation. This two states are better than Tasmania.

What is your total score, (without state nomination point)?

Have you checked the website of the regional area? If proof is required, I am pretty sure that capital assets too can be used as proof

Why not also try to boost your English score to 20 so you can apply for either 189 or 190.
