If you are a driver and you require a vehicle to drive, just go to play store and install uber fleet, register your profile with your existing profile and a partner will contact you.

Drivers on rental, please ehailing is a hustle you do only for a while, then you move on to other things. The odds are stacked against you, whichever way you think about it. Its only a very few car owners out there that are God-fearing, the rest will eat you raw.
I did ehailing for 18 months, in those 18 months, I incorporated my company and pushed out proposals. I have some projects going, I've been signed up on some contracts. A job desk with good enough salary > #250k monthly awaits me (resumption, 01/03/2019). I've returned the last car I drove to the owner last week. You cannot imagine how relieved I am.

Please ehailing is a side hustle. Quickly arrange yourself and move forward. God bless us all

Congrats bro..need i say that even drivers that own their cars should see it as a side hustle while they settle down with something permanent. while driving thats how i always saw it...You shouldnt be expecting to drive for the next 5 years..you shouldnt be a career e hailing driver..no..i wont advise that for anyone..drive, save up some money and diversify..start something new...you could still drive on the side in your spare time but never drive without a plan B and think you will drive forever...i might be wrong but thats my thought pattern..Congrats once again.

Car owners dealt with me, ehn. I get story.
#1. Toyota Yaris, the first car I rented on ehailing. One day like that I was going to Oyingbo from Yaba bus stop. At the turning into Commercial Avenue, one danfo driver overtook me from the right and crossed in front of me to turn into Commercial Avenue. He collided with the car, damaging the right front fender, the right front wheel shock absorber, the headlight cover (right, front) broke, and the 2 side mirrors got detached (danfo crushed one, while the impact of the collision pushed me in the path of an Okada passing one way who also yanked off the other).
I detained the danfo driver and his danfo at Sabo Police Station and called the car owner. Oga said "Hold the Danfo driver well well, no let am go". I told him I've already detained him at Sabo, that they were preparing to charge him to court sef for driving without a license and for causing malicious damage. Oga said "ehn ehn, well done. Na so". I told Oga, Station DTO is asking for #20,000 to charge the case to court (LASTMA inspection, Crime Diary entry, DPO approval etc), Oga said "hold the Danfo driver well".
Aaaaahhhhhh! Is it mouth I will use to hold the Danfo driver? Oga, Oga, come Police Station, DTO wan even see owner of car. Oga said "tell DTO say I no dey Lagos. I don travel go South Africa". Meanwhile, bus owner and Danfo driver were using God and the heads of their children to beg me. DTO was asking me how far, make him proceed?

I considered everything and told DTO I don't want any case. He should release danfo driver and the bus. They thanked me, DTO released everybody (I still pay am #5,000). I got home that night with the car. Called Oga, told him what I did. Oga went ballistic. I told him you didn't show up, there's no input from you. You just kept pushing me forward, so what do I do? Give DTO #20,000 and leave the car with the Police till the case is settled? Maybe in 6 months time? Oga, I didn't hear from you, so I did as my spirit led me.

Next morning, I called Oga Gazzuzz, told him I have a car I need repaired. Gazzuzz said I should come. Drove to the workshop with my son. After assessment, I got repairs estimate of about #80,000 excluding the cost of replacing the two damaged mirrors. Gazzuzz told me to bring the comprehensive insurance so he can send the bill to the insurance company. I called car owner, the repair garage is asking for comprehensive insurance. Oga said him no wan use the insurance now, say make I hol Danfo driver well well. "Shebi you still get him number and address? Use Police go carry am for house, make you hol am well well". The Oga no get comprehensive insurance for him vehicle. I was a newbie naa, so I fell mugu, driving car with third party insurance. Last last, I paid for those repairs from my pocket. I also replaced the side mirrors (additional #25,000) from my pocket. Repairs completed in about one week after the incident. Immediately I retrieved the car from Oga Gazzuzz workshop, I called car owner to let him know I was with the car now. "Ehn, ehn, when are you going to send me the #40,000 rental for last week?". Excuse me, the car was undergoing repairs all through last week. I sent you the garage's invoice, I gave you the phone numbers of the owner of the garage, I gave you the address .... "Deji, you think say I be JJC for this business? You forget say I be Bini boy? That garage belongs to your friend. Na both of una arrange this scam wey you wan scam me. Send my money, abeg, me I no dey for all this talk wey you dey talk". I just weak. I paid his money, then dropped his car for him.
Car owners are wicked.

Very sad story cry

#2. Toyota Avensis. After my experience with the first car owner I worked with, I gave ehailing another try with this new car owner. The car was a Toyota Avensis 2005. Direct tokunbo, LOL! Owner did zero checks or repairs on the car, just gave it out for rentals like that. Some of my experiences with it:
a. Noisy suspension system from the word "go". I enter a pothole and the steering wheel jumps upandan inside its cradle. Steering floats left, right freely e.g. I want to do a do a right turn, I must turn steering 270 degrees or more, to achieve the turn.
b. Constant AC or Radio problems. Sometimes, dashboard will just go blank. AC will just be blowing hot air
c. Experienced brake failure severally. Had to force owners mechanic to change the whole braking system, including the master cylinder
d. Car will just off itself while on duty. I had to rescue severally, with my money.
e. Shaft once pulled while on a trip
f. Personally spent #50,000 or more on repairs, rescue on this car; and rental was #40,000 which I still paid up regularly.

I found out from my mechanic that the car was converted. My mechanic warned me this car was an accident waiting to happen, that I should just return it or the car will kill me. I jejely returned the car to owner

lol, same story. Today, I decided to retrieve my car after long patience and tolerance. Trying to help a friend isn't really a good thing in this part of the world. So many scary experience giving a car out for ehailing business here in Abuja. Driver only made full payment three times in the last 6 months. From one story to another. I was patient. They was week, about last 3 weeks that he didn't remit at all (the story of why he failed to remit is something I don't even want to talk about). Because it's my friend, I told him to be remitting only 25k weekly. He was struggling and I wanted to help. We agreed 30k last year, so he told me that i should please reduce it to 25k from january this year. Seeing he is my friend and in need, I accepted. I have 3 source of income and ehailing is the least. I just told him to be committed. Yet he wasn't. I can't even mention the amount he is owing me. This guy owes over 50k and sends whatever he decides to send.

I am just ashamed of myself typing how I became a fool to help someone. All the opportunities he missed and how jobless he has become now.

Finding someone good is indeed very rare. Sincerity and honesty is a rare value among Nigerians. It's just scary, hope i can get over it and be able to trust someone again.

I need an Advise. I have interest in driving a car for a commercial purpose (Uber/Taxify) but I currently do not have a car off my own and couldn't afford one at the moment. A friend introduced me to his friend who import cars and he's willing to do business with me by giving me one of his Tokunbo car (Corolla 2006) on the platform of hire purchase to pay the sum of 3.5m which will spread over 2 years with the initial payment of 300k. I would like to know if it is reasonable enough cos I have no experience in this business. I need an advice from experienced drivers here too know if it is worth it.
