Have you considered writing GRE?? I am sure with a score of about 325+ you can get full funding in most US universities with your profile.

Alternatively you could apply directly for a Ph.d program as these programs are mostly funded and come with a small stipend.

If you can save up to 4m, you should consider Germany.

But I strongly advice you check out US schools. Also join the US student thread, read through and ask sensible questions.

I am in Nigeria. And I have been denied a US non immigrant visa .I was young (21), a student, no job, unmarried and absolutely no personal finance/investment.

Thing is, although my intentions were genuine, I can't blame the VO's for doing their job.

Nigerians have a very high tendency of abusing their Visas, so, the VO's are quick to label every applicant, an intending immigrant until the applicant proves other wise.

What would make a young person ( probably 20s or 30s) with no good job, family and finances return to Nigeria after visiting the US??

Consider that fact the the VO's fear are well founded. A lot of Nigerians are fleeing Nigeria.


Furthermore,Since my first and only refusal, I have totally forgotten about the US pending when I have something very important to do there. But most Nigerians will keep "trying their luck" ,creating more problems for themselves and looking very desperate.

I am making preparations to register for IETLS and GRE.
Am thinking of applying to schools in Australia, US, and other European countries.
I have just a million naira to be candid and am hoping to judiciously use it for processing of visa and other things.
Am trusting God for full tuition or scholarships from one of the schools I'd be applying based on my credentials.

Instead of starting this whole process and end on the way as I'm very sure that a million naira isn't sufficient,why not use that money,enter Rwanda and establish a small business,grow it and later you can go to any of these places you desire to go.My two cents.
