Thousands are employed as maids,It's more like an industry! Imagine if all this maids were sacked at once, many families would be left with no source of income! Job losses means no more money,no more money means that you've eroded the purchasing power of this thousands of citizens and eventually poverty kicks in! What's GDP if not the summation of all goods and services within a country? Because maids derive an income, they contribute to a country's economic growth.Salaried people purchase goods and services hence contribute something to the GDP,right? Yobeezy: 2 Likes |

darfay: I actually used that for a Somali Ethiopian. Kenyans don't understand it. Only Ethiopians use it as an official language even if some Eritreans and Djbouti people can speak the language. We use the language (for education) until grade 4 and the government uses this language. If you even come to Addis, place names are written in Amharic then in English. Most of the rules and regulations are written in Amharic. Our constitution is both written in English and Amharic. For example, this is Amharic sentence. ይሄ አማርኛ ነው። |

forgiveness: One of em Ghanaians even said Nigerian graduates from their universities are preferred to ours . Lol. University of Ghana is the only university from that country that's constantly ranked among the best on the continent.. Never seen any other Ghanaian university in the top 100 But Naija got OAU,UI,CU,UNILAG,UNN,UNIBEN,UNIPORT,etc in the list every year IMO, the fear of JAMB is the main reason most Nigerians prefer those mushroom private universities in Ghana cus private universities here don't strike and their school fees are almost the same with the ones in Ghana 1 Like |

Danielnino00:Read this and its getting worse and worse in your situation and appalling. The fees your 71,000 students pay in Ghana is more than the whole national annual budget of Federal universities in Nigeria and the situation is getting worse and worse each day with the over 6 months recent national strike by your lecturers which was this month called off and will set off shortly again 2 Likes

Chrisagyei, let me tell you something.... The number of Nigerian students studying in Ghana will keep increasing and trust me its not solely because of ASUU strike! Every year over a million (mostly over 1.5 million) Nigerian students seek admission to tertiary institutions every year and the number of universities in Nigeria isn't really enough, coupled with the fact that most students prefer to apply for the more prestigious public universities ahead of the Private universities. Less than 500,000 students get admitted to universities here! Those who cant secure admission to universities will opt for polytechnics or college of educations while those who want to attend universities at all cost will pick Ghana and other West African countries.. So in essence,Ghana is just a dumping ground for students who couldn't secure admission here! The certificates from most of those mushroom private universities in Ghana are worthless in Nigeria.. You know that too! So those paying millions of naira to attend such schools are just wasting their money! And finally, stop trying to make it look like a big deal that there are a lot of Nigerians studying in your country! ..Nigerians are studying in the UK, US,Germany, China and India too.. Nigeria accounts for the most students from Africa among the ivy league schools... We are everywhere mate...that's the undiluted truth 5 Likes |
