Amarabae: You forget one major political weakness in the SS/SE...political apathy! Although the awareness is high now and things will be slightly different because the stakes are high, but the number of people who will turn out to cast their votes will still be lower in those regions. Not forgetting that rigging might be proportional unlike those days that it was a one man affair 2 Likes |

Oshigun:brother thats your own belief..or some people belief, not that of all Yorubas. then there are others like me too who do not share in such belief.. let's be honest with ourselves, there's no party at this point in time winning SW by such a huge landslide.. the Osinbajo is our son factor is probably the least a Yoruba voter will even consider...unless we are in denial.. not saying APC may not win SW, but by such a huge landslide? its a no..there are pockets of Yorubas who are angry at APC but the key factor that may affect APC in SW is the performance of the governors.. some are saying we should not link the performance of governors to pmb, but its not gonna work because our governors are APC and pmb is APC candidate. besides in SW,there are some people who are just traditionally PDP right from start..PDP structure is very strong in almost all SW states, and that's a fact. I'm shocked at people who knows the reality of SW but are dismissing PDP chances in SW. not even Ogun,Osinbajo's home will be won in a landslide. 9 Likes 1 Share |

Mtchewww.. I'd leave every buharists to keep masturbating on this thread about how APC will "sweep" SW.. Una think say hunger and bad economy get friend or brother? Saturday is almost here. Most people here don't support PDP at the governorship level. But for the federal level, Prepare for a shocker.. Dazall. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Re: South West Will Shock Buhari On February 23 by Nobody: 9:45am On Feb 20, 2019 |
sapoyoro: Yes I will admit I am disappointed with some of our Governors and their second term performance-especially when their first term was promising. Those particular Governors are all outgoing anyway. Still, from sampling opinion on ground, I think many Yorubas seperate blame for misrule between State and federal government. Unlike almost any other region in Nigeria, the Yorubas dont throw away the baby with the bath water. Many can be disgruntled with APC at State level but remain adamant Buhari should continue at federal level. My prediction is that Buhari will win the SW comfortably. He will do better than he did last time because of the Atiku factor and the way many Yorubas deem PDP a no no at the centre. PDP misrule of 16 years is still too fresh in the minds of folks in the SW. They will stick with PMB. 2 Likes 1 Share |

But what's giving PDP hope in South West? |
Re: South West Will Shock Buhari On February 23 by Nobody: 9:53am On Feb 20, 2019 |
MrAJQ: There is no hope. Just that Igbos have boundary issues and never stay in their corner hence these sort of silly beg threads. When do you see Hausa/Fulani or Yorubas directing others over what to do in their own region? 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Oshigun:I disagree with you brother...you need to have an open mind... PMB may win but I do not agree he will win comfortably... PDP will probably get the same number of votes as they did 4 years ago or even more. this PDP destroyed for 16 years is no longer working, and Osinbajo is our son factor will be the least an average Yoruba voter will even consider... shey na him dey put food for our table ni... there are a lot of factors pmb will not win SW comfortably like you said but I don't have the time to go in to details now. your assertion that Yorubas don't throw away the baby with the bathwater,I don't know how correct it is... if pmb loses osun for example state which is becoming more likely now, it wiil not have been as a result he is perceived as a failure, its because the people are transferring their aggression and angers at aregbe and oyetola at him. While I believe that pmb still has the edge in SW, I just don't see him(or any party) winning SW comfortably. 5 Likes 1 Share |
