Seems like the result is not fantastic. The company's behaviour of recent has not given me great hope. I hope that the last years' dividend of 35kobo will be sustained.
they will struggle to pay 35k for real.

Zenith good oh. But I don't see any stock paying as much as Diamond bank. N1 per share.
If you have 10million and invest same in diamond today, you get close to N5million. Invest same in zenith you get N1,000,000 that's it
If also you are in this game for dividends, then you better stare clear of fcmb and fidelity cos na 10 kobo them sabi pay.

I am out of stock trade for now. I lost a huge amount of money after hearing bonaza gospel. I sold at lost even though I bought very high last yr February. I held all my stocks until I started hearing bonaza. I wanted to play safe and smart, but I missed it. I have learnt my lesson in a hard way. I need to recover before delving into stock trading again. Thanks for your recommendation.
I felt bad reading this! embarassed
Whatever makes you to have held on to the shares since Feb last year does not make you to sell at loss for whatever reason.
If you'd asked for people's opinion here before selling maybe you wouldn't have sold at loss afterall.
In as much as NSE remain, bear time don't last forever.
You may totally not leave the market but look for fundamental stocks that bottomed out and key into them, even if it's with little fund, with that you start recovering little by little.
I pray God return all your losses and launch you into massive profit soonest.

Sorry for this.

Don't follow every advice you get on the forum.

Trading rules have not change

buy low and sell high.

buy for dividend/bonus.

To be safe buy fundamentally sound stock, avoid speculation.

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION (NSE STOCK MARKET WEATHER REPORT) - FOR 20 FEBRUARY 2019

MSCI Nigeria as at 19 February 2019 came into the market heavily even with more cash (previous cash should have been added to in order to accommodate this resent purchase). Once I see MSCI in the market, my fears always reduce. See extract below.

Tuesday was a more stabilized 16 gainers and 14 losers. I observed that the stochastic level and the NSE price level is showing some level of divergence , a warning signal that the bull bear see saw is not yet over. Time to take some profit, not a time to look for big gains yet.

NSE All Share gain for 2019 now back to +3.10%.

For Wednesday 20 February 2019, projection for the Nigeria All Share Index, expected High is 32495.72 Low 32236.97.

From our daily pivot we are re still above the support level of 31,115.32, temporarily the bears would have come into the picture if this level is broken.

First revelation of our merger candidate is out (information for subscribers only). We should start buying little by little, risk is small (company is still profitable with positive reserve and at good support point).

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan). 1. We have trading systems which will teach you what I am doing, such that you can discover good equities on your own. I will particularly recommend the “No Loss Trading System”, yes no loss, this like own Coca-Cola without Sugar (health drink for your stock investing). E-mail us for more details!!!
2. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

3. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero, unless the fund is exiting from the particular Country involved. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market. The date displayed may not be the actual date of purchase/sale of equity (this is legal and allowable under the regulations guiding funds operations in general).

4. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

5. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI Nigeria for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. Get us at twitter https://twitter.com/AnalysisTarget

WHAT IS THE BASIS OF OUR SYSTEM
Made up of mixtures of the followings:
I. Fundamental Analysis
II. Chart/Candlestick Patterns/Price Actin
III. Mathematical Algorithms (Pivots, Trend change trading systems, Fibonacci etc.)
IV. Trend lines
V. Supply Demand

When people say Bonanza, that's not a cue for you to sell.

Peter Lynch said it best, "Know what you own, and know why you own it."

That is why you have to always buy stocks below their intrinsic value for a margin of safety. Apparently it seems you bought around the all time high's which is sad. No matter how the stock market is behaving, the only thing you should be looking at is how much a company is worth in liquidation value and not Market value and how much they are making for investors per share, year on year. Then compare that with inflation rates, Treasury bill rates and bond rates to see if the company is keeping up. From here you can have an estimate if it is undervalued or overvalued. This is not a one size fits all, it is just another way of analyzing.

Buying on impulse due to price swings and increase in price is a recipe for disaster. If anyone recommends a stock here, ask them why before you take their advice and buy. For selling that should be up to you when you feel a company is overvalued. Trust me, I am a very patient guy, I do not buy stocks or any other assets during upswings, it has helped me a lot. Wish you all the best though, and better tidings.

So you are still looking for what to buy when CP has bought all the good stocks at bargain price. grin

The problem with that diamond is that the price of access might crash at the initial stage of the consolidation. However if you will not be in a hurry to sell you might take a plunge.......

NOTE. I might be wrong o grin
