There was a mild drama on Wednesday at the Central Bank of Nigeria branch in Dugbe, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, after the Form EC8B of the Independent National Electoral Commission meant for Kano State was found in the election material deliveries meant for Oyo.

The form, which is one of the sensitive election materials, is the result sheet for a particular ward within a state.

While our correspondent was moving round the CBN premises around 5.30pm to monitor the sorting of the materials, a group of INEC officials, including ad hoc ones, suddenly raised an alarm.

“Eh! For Kano… Noted,” they exclaimed, as a woman raised up the form.

One of them subsequently took the form to a superior INEC official, who documented it in a register.

Our correspondent met with a senior official of the Commission supervising the sorting to ask how the discovery would be handled.

“We will give it to the CBN to return it to Kano State as soon as possible,” the official, who did not disclose his name, said.

Asked if there were other discoveries of such, he said, “For now, that is the only one we have found.”

The official added that the sensitive materials would be dispatched to different local government areas of the state as soon as the sorting ends.

Efforts to get the comment of the INEC Head of Publicity in the state, Mr. Olayiwola Arowolo, on the development proved abortive as calls made to his line were not answered.

The Resident Electoral Commission in the state, Mr. Mutiu Agboke, had also yet to reply to a text message sent to his line as of the time of filing this report.

This INEC chairman is purely incompetent . He's not fit to be charge of Ward election talk less of a whole county . If he fail to prepare adequately for a six hours election in four years ,do you expect him to do him to do better in seven days .

Okechukwu Ibeanu, the PDP mole in INEC doing what he has been paid to do. INEC should move fast to sack that criminal before he causes another election postponement.

who would become suddenly sad if ballot box snatchers are going to dealt abi na death with self( pun intended) if not election riggers? they knew if they had allowed the election last week after the Onnoghen's humbling, PMB would have given them a bloody nose. So like they did 4 years ago, they influenced the postponement by sabotaging INEC and tried unsuccessfully to pin it on PMB but they have failed again!
The love for PMB is unflinching ,and has expanded in the last few days . For example there is a legend going on presently among the nomadic tribes that supporters of a particular candidate are attacking them out of the world in the land of the intelligent ' midget' , and so are furiously waiting patiently to express their strong displeasure by Feb23. Just within a week ,and you would never hear that in any print,electronic or social media! The postponement is a blessing in disguise after all .

They are having sleepless nights right now thinking of how to sabotage the process again and discredit it ,but again they have failed. No going back, by Feb23 we shall red card them from politics and our polity . Sai Buhari.

It is better they detected the mixed-up early..

Somebody in Inec is seriously looking for a way to jeopardize this election but God will not allow such to happen.
