they won't look for a way to make a 5000mah battery super light to use in a phone or make one camera to "rule them all" for a phone or optimise their os so much that there won't be need for 12gb ram phones its to be making UD finger sensor
True talk.

uncle Godvilla, I don't need to use a thing to know whether it is a useful innovation or not. Its like using phones with notch or without notch, phones with stereo speakers or without stereo speakers, phones with amoled display or without amoled display, phones with pure android or without pure android.
Sha your opinion is your opinion, you go dey alright las las
Bro no mind them joor.

The UD scanner is the worst innovation as far as I'm concerned!
What's the point?

Innovation is dead nowadays in the mobile industry. All they do is copy and rehash lame trends.

Almighty Samsung punched their screen sef just to stay trendy.

punch hole displays will soon trend too. They won't perfect old tech but be jumping up and down to make money. For instance why on God's earth is Samsung galaxy fold $2000? And who needs a folding phone? Now its triple cameras, Nokia pure view will have 5, Huawei mate 20 pro has 4, yet Google pixel 3 has just two. And it beats all of them. Na wa for technology

There would always be interesting new & expensive tech that the masses don't need to jump on immediately.

True. But foldable screen is the height of tech gimmicks and is as dead on arrival as curved edge screens.

Resources on R & D should be better spent on more efficient features that can enhance usability and not gimmicks that only offer aesthetics.

I always hold performance high up and above aesthetics.

You might be right....But To a certain extent. You see We need newer innovations and patents in order to expand our knowledge and get closer to the perfect machine. A punch hole display in my my opinion will lead to a good host of improvements and development such as the periscopic camera while the under display fingerprint would lead to maybe the under display camera. The Google pixel doesn't beat those phones you mentioned there in terms of function. It doesn't have the mates telephoto lens, as it uses digital zoom...mind you digital zoom is not as good as A telephoto lens. The present fingerprint scanners were slow in the past so we should give UD fingerprints some time too.

I think you're right . Prior to my order, i rarely saw anything negative about their services. I guess I'm just unfortunate. By March 2nd, I'll ask for a total refund and get another phone here in 9ja.

its only in that aspect mate 20 pro beats pixel 3, in almost every other aspect, pixel 3 is still a huge camera king. In fact the best cameras last year were on pixel 3 and mate 20 pro.
These OEMs are using people to make money at the expense of functionality, sha I'm not their target market. And what could be the essence of in display cameras? Or 3 cameras on a phone? That $2000 for Samsung galaxy fold will get me an alienware laptop, a sweet gaming headset, and ps 4pro game pads and 1 extremely powerful DSLR camera and I will have change.
If someone follows these people, a person can soon tumble into greed and avarice, like they say on this thread, buy a phone that suits you and close your eyes to every other thing at least for 2 years

Samsung just made a phone to boast that they made a phone? The market is at the mid range, who uses concept devices? As dope as Iphones are, overpricing dey take style harm them. Huawei and Xiaomi will keep dusting them, and soon that company that makes Vivo, Oppo and Oneplus will start dusting them too. Functionality will always beat conceptualism.
